I have a SONY VPH-D50 projector. Screen has green tin to it. I covered 2 of the 3 bulb to see image quality of each and it appears as though there is no image projecting from the Blue. I can look into the lense and see the image inside, but it will not project out onto the screen.

You will probably need a new lamp.

MY VIDEO PROJECTOR SONY VPL -HS10, CONNECTED TO COMPONENT VIDEO OUTPUTS IS DIPLAYING DATA ON THE SCREEN UPSIDE DOWN. HOW DO I CHANGE THIS PLEASE

There should be a menu option for orientation. The selection may be for ceiling vs standard. You have the unit set for ceiling mount.

I have an Mitsubishi X490U Multimedia Projector - it hangs inverted in our church auditorium. The image on the screen looks okay with bright images projected, but dark images appear to look green...

This unit needs a new Optical block, most likely more than a new projector

check out projectorsuperstore.com for a replacement

by the way, your $10,000 projector only has 2600 lumens, a new/refurbished unit will have 4000 lumens for less than 25% of the cost of your unit

Green screen projection

This is the exact same issue as I described for an Epson user. So I'll repeat it here.

I assume this is an LCD. I don't remember the s4 being a DLP projector.

This sounds like the LCD panel used for the green color has gone out. The image is made up of red, green and blue images layered upon the screen. If the green panel has gone out then there is nothing filtering out the green light in the image. This causes a nice green hue to the whole screen.

It could be a simple open and reconnect fix. I personally have never opened a projector, so I'm not going to walk you through it as I do not know how hard it would be to tinker with. It should eb a cheap fix for a true repair man though.

Wondering if moisture can mess up a projector

Absolutely. The circuitry can "short out" on the controller boards.

A Pelican watertight case or similar is your best best.
They're not too expensive... but a new projector is more expensive.
Here's their site with different models available.
