Manual for pentax 8 - Pentax ZX-50 35mm SLR Camera

Consider a few points. Most camera's (The Pentax is no exception here) can only use AF till f/1:5,6. With a tele convertor 1.4 times, your aperture will be twice as small. So it will become 8.
So yes you can use the converter on your Pentax, but the camera can't work with autofocus. If there is enough light, you could be able to manual focus the lens and still make a shot.

Use "exposure compensation" (the button with a plus/minus symbol). It allows you to lighten (toward the + side) or darken (toward the - side).

i did not solve my problem ididnt get the correct camera it kept bringing up the one you mentioned instead of optio e35
