The drums need to be replaced as well from time to time but first go back to store and get them to check your cartridge.

Ink does not stick to page on m2727 when printing cardstock. We have tried using different paper settings.

Are you using original HP toners or 3rd party (refills)? We have had issues with some 3rd party toners not bonding properly on heavier media. How heavy a cardstock are you trying to print on? If it is heavier than the highest rated paper for this printer then it may not bond at all, regardless of toner used. The heaviest paper that HP rates for this printer is 43 lb/bond. A lot of cardstock starts at around 65 lb/bond.

I have the 1522 printer. The toner ran out and I refilled using Chinese toner fron Deal Extreme. Black toner leaked out the right hand side of the toner cartridge messing up printing. I tried refilling...

I would not advise you to refill a toner cartridge becausethe toner powder is very fine and you do not want to breath in this tonerpowder. You may be able to print a few more pages by removing thetoner cartridge and shaking the toner cartridge in a horizontal position a fewtimes and then placing it back into the printer. This will give you an opportunity to print a few more pages and giveyou time to purchase a new toner cartridge for your printer. A cheaperalternative is to purchase a re-manufactured toner cartridge for your modelprinter. A re-manufactured printer cartridge also replaces worn partsas well as refilling with toner powder.

How to reset the MLT-108 Series(E) Cartilage

I have the exact same printer and cartridge. You need to short-circuit a integrated circuit in the back of the printer so it does not have any page and toner data but continues to function properly. http://www.fixme.ro/images/stories/reset1640%20mic.jpg Did this a year ago and after 3000 pages it still works but prints are less black and more grey . This is because of wear and tear of the cartridge. BEWARE: If you do not have a good soldering skills you can damage the printer!!! You will lose the product warranty! The cartridge can be refilled by unscrewing the side with a metal plate and lifting the plug. Just gently pour about 60 g of toner powder inside , reassemble and you're done.

Inatallation of a printer

Hello , I believe I can help you out.

First here is a bit about your machines toner maintenance.

Second will be how to change the cartridge.

Remember if I was of assistance please be kind and leave a kind quick testimonial and good rating.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Maintaining the toner cartridge
Toner cartridge storage
Toner cartridges contain components that are sensitive to
light, temperature, and humidity. Samsung suggests users
follow the recommendations to ensure the optimum
performance, highest quality, and longest life from your
new Samsung toner cartridge.
Store this cartridge in the same environment as the printer
it will be used in; this should be in controlled office
temperature and humidity conditions. The toner cartridge
should remain in its original, unopened package until
installation – If original packaging is not available, cover
the top opening of the cartridge with paper and store in a
dark cabinet.
Opening the cartridge package prior to use dramatically
shortens its useful shelf and operating life. Do not store on
the floor. If the toner cartridge is removed from the printer,
always store the cartridge:
• Inside the protective bag from the original package
• Correct side up in a horizontal position (not standing on
end)
• Do not store consumables in;
- Temperature greater than 40°C (104°F).
- Humidity range less than 20% and not greater than
80%.
- An environment with extreme changes in humidity or
temperature.
- Direct sunlight or room light.
- Dusty places.
- A car for a long period of time.
- An environment where corrosive gases are present.
• An environment with salty air.
Handling instructions
• Do not touch the surface of the photosensitive drum in
the cartridge.
• Do not expose the cartridge to unnecessary vibrations
or shock.
• Never manually rotate the drum, especially in the
reverse direction; this can cause internal damage and
toner spillage.
Use of non-Samsung and refilled toner
cartridge
Samsung Electronics does not recommend or approve the
use of non-Samsung brand toner cartridges in your printer
including generic, store brand, refilled, or remanufactured
toner cartridges.
CAUTION: Samsung’s printer warranty does not cover damage to
the machine caused by the use of a refilled, remanufactured, or
non-Samsung brand toner cartridge.
Estimated cartridge life
Estimated cartridge life (the life of the toner cartridge yield)
depends on the amount of toner that print jobs require. The
actual print-out number may vary depending on the print
density of the pages you print on, operating environment,
printing interval, media type, and/or media size. For
example, if you print a lot of graphics, the consumption of
the toner is high and you may need to change the cartridge
more often.
Redistributing the toner cartridge
When the toner cartridge is near the end of its life:
• White streaks or light printing occurs.
• The warning message, Toner Low displays on the control
panel.
• The Smart Panel program window appears on the computer
telling you that the toner cartridge is low on toner.
• The Status LED blinks red.
If this happens, you can temporarily reestablish print quality by
redistributing the remaining toner in the toner cartridge. In
some cases, white streaks or light printing will still occur even
after you have redistributed the toner.
1 Open the front cover.
2 Pull the toner cartridge out.
3 Thoroughly roll the toner cartridge 5 or 6 times to
distribute the toner evenly inside the toner cartridge.
NOTE: If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry
cloth and wash clothing in cold water. Hot water sets toner into
fabric

Changing cartridge:
_______________________________________________________

CAUTION: Do not touch the green underside of the toner
cartridge. Use the handle on the toner cartridge to avoid
touching this area.

4 Hold the toner cartridge by the handle and slowly insert
the toner cartridge into the opening in the machine.

5 Tabs on the sides of the toner cartridge and corresponding
grooves within the machine will guide the toner cartridge
into the correct position until it locks into place completely.

6 Close the front cover. Make sure that the cover is securely
closed.

Replacing the toner cartridge
When the toner cartridge is completely empty:

• The printer stops printing.

• The Smart Panel program window appears on the computer
telling you that the toner cartridge is empty.

• The Status LED lights red.

At this stage, the toner cartridge needs to be replaced. For
order information for toner cartridges, see page 7.1.

1 Pull the toner cartridge out.

2 Remove the new toner cartridge from its bag.

3 Roll the toner cartridge 5 or 6 items to distribute the toner
evenly inside the toner cartridge.

Thoroughly rolling the toner cartridge will assure
maximum copies per toner cartridge.

4 Remove the paper protecting the toner cartridge.

NOTE: If toner gets on your clothing, wipe it off with a dry
cloth and wash clothing in cold water. Hot water sets toner into
fabric.

CAUTION: Do not touch the green underside of the toner
cartridge. Use the handle on the toner cartridge to avoid
touching this area.

5 Hold the toner cartridge by the handle and slowly insert
the toner cartridge into the opening in the machine.

6 Tabs on the sides of the toner cartridge and corresponding
grooves within the machine will guide the toner cartridge
into the correct position until it locks into place completely.

7 Close the front cover. Make sure that the cover is securely
closed.

I filled my cartilages but they printer says they are empty

If you refilled the cartridges with a refilling kit then this error will continue. You see, cartridges have a chip installed on them and it is programed to calculate approximate ink remaining after a certain number of pages are printed.

For eg, a chip on a new cartridge is programed that a full page takes say .5 ml, then if you print 1 full page or two half pages, it will deduct .5ml from the ink volume. When it reaches zero, it does not know how much ink is in there; it never knew in the first place. Now if you refill it up, the chip just thinks that all the pages have been printed so the cartridge must be zero.

In short, this error will stay, if you are able to print ignore the warning and continue to print until the print quality degrades. If you are unable to print you might have to install a new cartridge. OR if you're luck, you may find a chip reseter on the internet or from the refill service.

My Laserjet 4200 dtn with Envelope Feeder is printing address on envelopes, then it appears extra ink prints part of a second address to the left of the first. Over several envelopes, it appears the ink on...

Sounds like you have a bad fuser. Are you using refilled 3rd party toner or genuine HP toner?

measure the distance from first instance of the repeated image to the next instance on same page. This will identify if the image is stuck on a fuser roller or the toner's photoconductive drum.

each roller in a printer has a different circumference and repetitive images can be diagnosed this way.

provide the measurements as close as possible in fractions of inches or cm's.

Thank you,

I just refilled black ink of my new printer Lexmark x5495. Does not recognise the black cartilage and keeps on asking for alignment. When it prints alignment page it does not use the refilled black ink....

“Lexmark does not support the refilling of its ink cartridges. Refilling the ink cartridges can cause them to leak, thus clogging or even damaging the print head. Any damage to your printer caused by refilled ink cartridges may not be covered under warranty”. Please use genuine Lexmark cartridges for best results.

Fairly new toner and display reads "Install black cardtricge"

I have just resolved the "Install black cartrige" issue on my printer I am not sure if it will solve everyone's problem but these are the steps I took to solve the problem.

1. removed the black cartrige.
2. removed all the paper from the tray and noticed that one of the pages was a little jammed.
3. I then turned the printer on and off again and still encountered the "Install black cartrige" error message.
4. I then put the black cartrige back in the the printer and restarted the printer.
5. When the printer restarted it started to initialize correctly and I perform some test prints to confirm that it was back up and running.

Refill problems pages are stained

Original refills are best rather than using refill kits, but are expensive and produces clean results... Well, that's the way it is, I too got refills and I expected it to have unwanted results.

Use it until emptied and buy original refills to get best results.
Let this be a lesson us... After all, it's a part of learning via our mistakes.
