Why do you want to play this game in window mode? This is an incredible game. If you really want to play this game in window mode, go to options and deselect - Full-screen or anything like that. Or, select - Window Mode or anything like that.

Hi, try disabling the EAX and A3D in the riot engine options; they are not needed on modern systems.

this error means that the game cannot be play on windows vista. so you will have to play another game or get windows xp.

right click on the game icon and click propreties. On the Compatibility tab check the "Run in compatibility with" box and select windows 98/Mil and then you will be able to play the game. Alternatively go to gamecopyworld.com and search for max payne and download a crack for the game witch will let you play the game on any OS even Vista or Windows 7

The software company that wrote the game does not support Vista. Check back with them often to see if they will in the future.

is the game compatible for the vista? check back of game box it will say system requirements, if it is there could be something for the vista you dont have in order to play the game or the game itself is a bad one,
