The oven portion of my kitchen aid superba range won't heat up.All of the topside burners are working fine. I recently turned the breaker off then back on to this appliance, would this have affected this in some way? Thanks, Terry.

There is an element in your oven that needs to heat up before it will light. it needs to be replaced. collect the serial number and model and if you go to sears they should be able to help you with the problem

Kitchen Aid Superba double oven

f5e1 is a door locking error. try shutting off power for a minimum of 2 minutes to reset the control board. If you still get the error replace the latch. Here is the part to order.

The first thing I would check is the breaker for the oven at the breaker box. I have encountered similar problems and a partially thrown breaker ( or one pole of a double-pole breaker) can cause this. Find your "range breaker" in your breaker box and cut it off then flip it back on. There is a good chance that might fix your breaker. If it is an older house with fuses, then the range would be on two fuses and one of them is blown. This happens to dryers also (if the right fuse/breaker goes, the motor runs but it won't heat)

Hi,

Here is what Kitchen Aid says about F4:

F4 Meat probe shorted
1. Disconnect meat probe and measure probe resistance (78kω at 60° F [15.6° C],
37kω at 90° F [32.2° C]).
2. If resistance is not valid replace probe.
3. Insert probe and check for a firm connection between probe and jack (in oven cavity).
4. Check connection between jack and harness (in rear of oven).

It sounds like the probe jack may be bad or the wiring between the jack and the control board above.

Check to see if 2 of your range burners have failed too. It would indicate that your breaker needs to be turned off and then back on to get 240 V again. The panel and 2 burners will work on 120 V just fine.

Okay,
1, check your power, locate your breaker for the range. turn the breaker off and turn it back on.
Your Range it is electronic control on the Oven but not the Stove Top heating elements.
After you reset the breaker and it still not work.
Please let me know more about the unit.
When you purchase.
How/when it happen.
What is the indicator showing.

Kitchenaid model KEMS307G. Latch would not open after self-clean. Tech removed latch. Oven-microwave functional. He replaced latch mechanism, now control panel doesn't work.drawing 240v. not 80v. Tech claims latch mechanism melted. Oven/microwave worked fine before and after latch removal. It now appears the control panel is bypassed and oven is wired direct. Cannot shut oven off, only at circuit breaker.
