If you asking about the drain hose. There's what looks like a hose hookup on the back of the unit, down near the floor. It's probably plastic and is threaded to accept a garden hose. You may have to carefully knock out the opening of the plastic connector, to allow the water to drain into the connected hose. The hose then should go to a floor drain or sump pump. Keep in mind, the water will not drain up.

I tried to drain direct via garden hose, perfectaire PA50 dehumidifier. I unplugged the plug, connected the little hose that came with the thing..connected to the inner spout and to the hose adaptor,...

Did you punch out (or cut) the plug that the hose connects to? If not, its blocking the water from draining to the hose.

Please rate 4 stars if this is helpful. Thanks and good luck!

Where can I get hose ,hose attachments for my Goldstar dehumidifier? Can not locate my manual or attachments.

Fortunately, it doesn't require a special hose, as a standard Garden Hose Connection is on the left side of the water collection bucket. You may have to carefully drill a 1/4 " hole in the center of the connection, once you unscrew the drain cap. The hose should be no longer than 5' , as the drainage relies entirely on gravity to drain.

When attaching the the hose, be sure that the female hose connection has a washer in it or it will leak. Hand tighten the hose connection firmly, being careful not to crack the plastic hose connection on the tank. Also, be sure that the float valve in the tank is in the DOWN. position or the unit will not run.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know.

What setting do you have to have it on for the water to come out of hose only

The water collection bucket may have a hose tap in it. But, in your case the hose drain connection is on the side of the unit. You have to remove the cover of the hose connection, before you can connect the garden hose. Here's where it gets a little tricky, because the Owners Manual says to leave the bucket in place. However, the Troubleshooting Guide says to remove the bucket, if water is not draining thru the hose. Which to me, makes sense, because the unit can't recognize that the hose is connected, if the bucket is still installed, because it has a safety switch.

In case you have misplaced your Owners Manual, here is a link to it, that you can download and print for future reference.

I want to connect the hose to the back of the machine so it can drain directly into the sump pump. The users guide says that the hose adapter came with the product. If it did I lost it. I don't recall ever...

One place to find it is appliancefactory.com. The fitting is a male hose thread, so if you took a hose, it could just be threaded in. Take a look at the above mentioned site, they list it as part #CRCFD9259-010. Hope this helps

How to connect drain hose?

You need the white pipe that came with it. Remove the circle on the back left of the unit with pliers or a screwdriver. Take out the bucket. screw the hose to the pipe. Push the pipe through the hole in back and break through the rubber membrane. In front, connect the white pipe to the elbow pipe at the top. Make sure the smaller tab on the white pipe (back of machine) is pointing down and the larger one up. The smaller tab goes behind the back cover and (sort of) holds the pipe in place. You still need the bucket in place for the machine to turn on.

Lost suction to drain into hose connector

I've had a similar problem and I was told by Whirlpool that the hose has to run down along the side of the dehumidifier and not straight out. I moved it and things improved; then I moved it again and it got worse. So maybe you moved the hose while cleaning the vent, and moving the position around will help?

Drain hose attachment

Checkout this website...they have an owners manual you can download: http://us.lgservice.com/ A little hard to find, but it's there. In short, there is a small hole in the back of the dehumidifier between the cord handles. There will be a cap held in place over the hole by three small connectors. With some pliers, remove the hole cover. Take your hose connector and place it in the hole until it won't go any further (you can feel it hit the front of the water bucket). The instructions will show pressing the tab of your hose connector into the bottom of the hole to hold it in place. Don't know about yours, but mine is too long to do that. Connect a short length of garden hose to the threaded end of the connector and you've got it. Instructions say hose has to be flat leading straight from the dehumidifier to a drain, so don't place the draining end of the hose up in a sink or anything, use a floor drain. Hope this helps!
