Your problem more than likely is a plugged defrost line in the freezer...The freezer goes through periodic defrost cyles to keep the coils from freezing up. The water catches in a trough pan in the freezer and flows through a drain hole to the bottom of the fridge where it evaporates. This drain hole perodically freezes up and the water accomulates under the freezer bottom until the water level reaches your vent ports to the fridge section. Open your freezer and on the bottom floor of your freezer you should see two screws near the front on either side. Remove them and then take out the bottom tray....this will expose the drain hole near the rear of the freezer compartment. You will more than likely have to remove ice under the tray in order to see the drain hole. Remove the lower back panel on the back of the refrigerator and you should be able to see the drain line coming from the freezer. Unplug the refrigerator before you begin work. It will take a little while for the drain line to thaw to allow liquid to flow to the bottom. I find a hair dryer pretty handy in speeding up the process. To verify you have unplugged the drain line you should be able to pour hot water in the drain hole in the freezer and see it come out at the rear of the fridge in tube line just above a little catch pan

Ice in one side if top freezer and water ending up in bottom of fridge under crisper

Check to see if your ice maker is leaking. If it is not, or if you have no ice maker, you'll need to unplug the refrigerator for several hours to allow all of the ice to melt inside, mop up all of the water from the melted ice, then make sure that the inlet ports in the freezer are not obstructed by plastic food packages or anything else, so that air can flow freely within the cooling channels between the 'fridge and the freezer. (It sounds like ice has built up in the duct that runs between the freezer fan and the refrigerator compartment, usually caused by the vents in the freezer being blocked by packages.)

Why ismaytag bottom freezer leaking water?

Try clearing all vents - inside (make sure vents not covered - in fridge and freezer) and outside (gently vacuum - the coil areas in the back and bottom of fridge)

Model CTX18GAZBRWW - (Hotpoint) no-frost - freezer on top Water collects under the vegetable drawers and must be removed every day.

Something to try....on the back wall of the fridge nearer to the top is a little cup like part sticking out. There is water in it but it usually runs down an attached tube inside back wall and ends up under the fridge and gets evaporated. If that tube or the little cup thing is plugged then it will drip in the fridge and collect on the inside bottom of the fridge. So the trick is to clean them out. Check it out ...may solve the problem.

WATER LEAKING FROM FREEZER VENTING INTO FRIDGE

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-font-family:"Times New Roman";} Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Freezer works, fridge not cooling but water was leaking from under fridge a few weeks ago, could not find source . Small compact frigidaire unit for dorm room.

Most if not all fridges under $2000 only use a single compressor meaning the refrigeration is provided by venting the freezer air into the compartment. Water under the unit likely indicates the fridge is not properly sealing and moisture is condensing on the cold coils and dripping.

Internal water leak Amana AT5518SW

King, you probably have a defrost drain port that is frozen over. When the unit goes into defrost it's running through the air damper instead of going out the drain line. Therefore you get water into the refrigerator section. You can verify this by removing the evaporator cover in the freezer and checking the drain hole. You can clear it by running hot water into it. You will have to remove all the built up ice from water that did not drain in that area...Catriver..post back.
