The aerator should screw into the faucet (internal threads). The aerator has a screen and the plastic aerator. If the screen is clean there may be trash in the aerator.

Our American Standard kitchen faucet has become hard to swing from one side of the sink to the other. What could be causing this? Is there a bad part?

Hi! If there are no leaks from around the spout, you can remove the spout and apply silicone lube to the spout o-rings and resemble. If it is still hard to move ,replace the o-rings.

Low water pressure

Remove the spray head and point the hose into the sink drain. Turn the faucet on. If you have good pressure, cal American Standard for a free replacement spray head.
If you still have low water pressure without the spray head, ask them for a new faucet cartridge.
After replacing the faucet cartridge, if you still have low water pressure you will need to ask for a new faucet, possibly free if yours is still under warranty.

Installed new faucet worked then all water stopped

If it has a side spray the diverter might be stuck. try flicking the spray handle on and off.

Hi folks, seems stupid, but I'm changing the cartridge on my american standard kitchen faucet. If I line up the holes on the botton of the cartridge with the holes in the fixture, I don't have the ability...

Most likely you need to adjust the hot limit safety stop which restricts handle swing to limit the high temp of the water and avoid scalding... check out this link to the install manual for your faucet. Also includes detailed diagram of cartridge alignment just in case you need it.

Slow and nonexistent water flow.

Start by removing the spray head from the hose. Pull the spray head out and with a channel lock pliers unthread connection between the spray head and hose. BE CAREFUL not to let the hose fall back down into the faucet. With the hose directed down toward the sink test for volume by turning on the faucet. If you get a nice volume the problem is in the spray head. This is usually the case. Put the spray head back on then remove the aerator. It's the screen where the water comes out of the spray head. Clean out the assembly ( 3-4 parts). Reassemble and test.

Good luck, Phil
