I have a problem with a White rodgers 1C20-101 thermostat. The lower heat setting for room temp goes up to 80 degrees when the thermostat is set at 70 degrees. Is this normal for this type of unit?

The Operating Manuals for many White-Rodgers thermostats can be found in PDF form HERE, however they are not indexed by model number so you will have to download each file in turn until you find the one you want. All of the file names beginning with "0037-" seem to be W-R products.*Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, despite the handle. Keeps going to 62 like it's on a program

You need to manually operate the thermostat by using the hold button. You did not specify the model number but try this procedure:

First of all this thermostat doesn't have a auto change over feature.

To maintain the desired set point of 76F, is press first the system button to the system that you want either heat or cool and the next step that you need to do is to navigate the UP or DOWN arroes for your desired set point and It should follow that temperature permanently until you cjnage it again.

Temp too high

lamgrimes9,
Welcome to Fizya.,

You said, your Oster wine refrig won't lower its temperature below 76 degrees. I have it for about 5 months, and it worked fine all this time with a setting of 50 degrees. Now it refuses to lower its temp. It reverts back to 76 everytime. Can someone give me any ideas about what is wrong? FYI Mine did not come with an owner's manual.

Sounds like the Thermostat is bad.
