Hi. I have two mitsubishi 3020 printers, but from lack of use, both printers are producting a single white line on the photograph. Have the printer heads gone bad? If so, where can I purchase two printer heads? Both units have been cleaned with rubbing alcohol, but did not fix issue. Thank you.

SOURCE: How to remove the print head?

When you lift the lid like you're changing inks, you will see on each side long plastic covers that pop out, all the wires and the ground wire have to be removed and then you can set the whole top aside, after that there's several phillips screws that come out and you lift the middle cover off. The printhead is exposed at this time and the tubes come off, and the drive belt. The head will lift off the left side of the rails. Good Luck!

SOURCE: Hi help needed with a Epson stylus Photo

Hi There

Summary

Usage of compatible ink and leave the printer idle too long may cause printhead clogging
What should you do if you get this problem. Relax; you may recover the printhead by unclogging it. Follow these steps to unclog the printhead

1. Right click in the printer driver name
2. Select Properties menu
3. Click Maintenance tab
4. Click on cleaning sign for regular cleaning. Perform this up to 3 times.
5. If this does not work, perform Deep Cleaning

And if that not work

Some times it needs a good clean up but this is up to you if you want to do this,
But after you done this prime the printer so it gets the inks back in the heads, it may take a little time for the inks to work.

Ok.

There is fluid cleaner for this but I can never find any in the shops the only ones I seen is when they sell them in Tesco but they come in with the ink refill bottles so I just use worm water by it self on a cloth and dabbing on the heads to clean them, it will not harm the heads but not to much water.

Some heads are on the inks them self but some have them inside the printer so I not know your printer so if the heads are inside you need to get them out you may find that some heads will just clip out put some need to be unscrewed so you got to know how they come out so be careful and not push to hard on them, if the heads are on the ink then it is a easy job to clean them,
It worth a try it worked for me more than ones.

Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.

SOURCE: HP Officejet Pro L7650 Print head problem

The reason why the printer refuses to print if you get low on one or more colors is that the system runs off negative pressure through the ink lines to the print head. If you were able to continue printing with an empty cartridge you could get air in the respective ink line, disrupt the negative pressure, make it so that that color will no longer print, and require you to get the printer serviced to fix the problem. I own a Cartridge World ink refilling store and I feel this is a good machine (compared to some of the others out there). The only down side with this type of machine is the print heads expiring or getting clogged as you are experiencing. The reason the black is clogged and not the other colors is that the black ink is pigment based and the colors are dye based. The pigment based inks do tend to clog print heads over time. You can try to rehydrate the print head with warm distilled water. if you can't get it working to your satisfaction you can buy a new black/yellow print head for $72. With this type of printer you should print at least one black and white and one color document per week to keep the print heads fresh. If they sit too long without ink flowing through them then they can get clogged and print poorly. I hope this helps belay some of the resentment you hold towards your printer.

SOURCE: new cartridge---does not print---have cleaned

Hello, Andrew.

Go to Printers and Faxes and delete your printer icon.

Here's how to delete a printer icon in Windows 7:

1. Open Printers by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Printers.
2. Right-click the printer that you want to remove, and then click Delete.

Disconnect the USB cable.

Restart your computer.

Reconnect the USB to your computer.

Your computer should see your printer. Install the printer driver.

Hope this helps.

Mitsubishi p93 thermal printer streeking

Thermal heads show faults in two ways.
if a single line through print and you can see some colour in the print is is dust on head. Clean with isoprop alcohol and a lint free swab.

if it is a white line with no colour then its most prob a thiristor blown on the head, the white line will soon expand as other thiristors next the the faild one will soon also fail. A head replacement would be required. Is the head set at the correct voltage, replacement heads come with a test sheet and a value to adjust the head voltage too.

Using the Pixma mp800, running from windows 7, when I try to print in black and white photographs, the printer adds greens. How do I correct this?

Hello,
your printer makes black from cyan, magenta and yellow when you tell it to prin black and white photographs. In the Printer Preferences you will find an option that is called: Print in High Resolution Grayscale using only the black cartridge.
If you check this function your printer will print only black and white with grayscale and will not use the color cartridge.

I have faint line printing down the center of each page. Is there something I need to clean to get rid of it?

Hi
I will assume the type of printer you have is an inkjet printer. If a single jet is not working then a single white line will be produced in the middle of the page. If one of the jets is activated all of the time then output will be produced as a single black line. Use the following steps to isolate the problem: - Replace the print cartridge - Check the flexible cabling for continuity and for short circuits between adjacent connectors - exchange the control board for a good one - finally check the power supply
Hope this helps!

I have HP 3020 all in one printer. I am able to install printer drivers successfully, but unable to complete scanner driver software. I am using windows 7. Please suggest suitable driver.

You can find drivers here for your printer model and your operating system:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=378053&

Make sure you download the correct version for your computer; 32-bit vs, 64-bit.

To check your operating system, click on Control Panel; then select System.

View the System type to confirm whether you have 32-bit or 64-bit installed.

Printer skips lines

What is the make and model of your printer?

Can you give us a better description of the failure, please? For example are you getting extra vertical spaces between lines of text? Are you getting white lines in-between lines of image (photographs)?

If it is text, check the linespacing setup in the application you are using.

For example, sometimes Word will set the spacing at 1.5 LPI (lines per inch). to fix that problem you only need to change the LPI back to 1.
