I have a GE Model GFSS6KKXASS with a Samsung IMC701 ice maker I believe there is a thermister (looks to small to be a klixon) in series with the mold heater - it has no resistance hot or cold. The heater has a resistance of about 90 ohms.Do you know where I can buy this limit device? I am tempted to bypass it except that there are other electronics in this refrigerator that I do not understand

SOURCE: GE Refrigerator Compressor Inop.

I found this post by searching on the capacitor number, JSU21X126AQC. My 2001 Kenmore refrigerator (don't have model# here) compressor didn't run, but I heard it hum for a few seconds and then a click. That's the Klixon overload doing its job. I measured resistance of the compressor leads same as original poster. This lead me to determine that the windings were not open or shorted. The wiring to the compressor also fed the condenser fan, and it was running, so power was at least all the way to the compressor.
What I did find was that the 12uF capacitor was only 4uF. My digital volt meter has a capacitor check range. This compressor circuit is a permanent split capacitor type. Without the proper capacitance, the compressor can't start. I replaced it with a 10uF, 220v AC capacitor I had, and now it runs fine. I wonder how many refrigerators are scrapped because of this inexpensive problem?

SOURCE: the ice maker on our GE refrigerator does not make ice

1 -Ice maker arm must be down(on position)2-Make sure the water supply line is connected to the fridge3Check if the ice maker is plugged in4The freezer must be working fine for the ice maker to produce ice. After the ice maker stars and calls for water and doesn't get any , the water valve is bad.And if everything above is ok the ice maker needs to be replaced.

How to know the water pressure is wright for Samsung ice maker imc701

Used machine? If new seller needs to help. If under warranty check the MFG customer service number.
If used this may be the reason it was sold. If Used there is a possibility the water filter needs to be replaced. Yes they'[re expensive, but they can interfere with the process. Does the Cold water device work? Is there plenty of flow? If so it's not filter or pressure. If it barely comes out, then it's probably filter and may be the ice maker issue.

How do i remove an imc701 bottom freezer ice maker from a Samsung rf266aewp french door refrigerator?

Two screws at front (need 1/4 nut driver to remove them). Then pull towards yourself and it will pop right off. Then you'll see a wired connection. Done! If you're wanting to replace the ice maker here is part# DA97-07603B (write it down :-)

And you can purchase here at link below!

I have water under the vegetable tray. I believe the drain valve is probably clogged. How can I fix this? My GE model bottom freezer model number is GFSS6KKXASS.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the inside of the freezer at the bottom of the rear cover.

Ice maker samsung imc 701 is making a sound like a gear is not catching when ice is ready to drop i would like to remove for repairs but dont know how to unplug unit

Remove the ice tray with auger. You will then see the actual ice maker.
There will be 1 white X head screw beneath it on the left side about 2 inces from the bottom of the tunnel. Remove that & then remove the white panel by moving the front of it enough to clear the side & it slides out toward you.
You will see where the cord connects to the fridge. Disconnect that.
At the top of the ice maker is a white tab, press that downward & pull the unit toward yourself to remove.
Reverse the process when replacing your new unit.
If you have GE Service do this, that will set you back almost $400, $65 for the service call, $200 for labor and $160ish for the icemaker. Search for part # IMC701 and save yourself some $$$.

I do not believe the other advisor understand my problem. I have a GE Profile Arctica refrigerator PSS25NGMDBB. The problem is the cup fill (GE part name) is frozen and full of ice. So when the ice...

You are right. The water inlet valve is leaking a small drip and it freezes when it reaches the cold air in the freezer at the fill tube. Melt the ice in the tube with a hairdryer and replace the water inlet valve. It's on the back where the water supply connects to the back.

OK, Have a look (if you can) and see if one of the water jets might be broken, or if there might be a defect in the tray. I can't help any further i'm afraid.

Samsung Refrigerator makes ice, but then quits.

I have this same thing happening, also. I have not been able to find a solution to this issue, however. The ejector blades push against the ice, apparently a gear pops loose with a loud clicking sound and the heater either does not work or never turns on. I end up killing the breaker to thr refrig,`removing the icemaker, letting it wrm up dumping the ice and putting it back in.
