Tv take a long time for a picture to appear once the power is turned on. is it a problem with the set?

How old is it? TRY this.. Hold down the menu button on the top or side of your TV for at least 10-15 seconds. An on screen menu will appear asking you to enter the time, date and location settings. Follow the onscreen instrucitons, and once completed your TV will reset to factory settings.

This TV has a Power Standby feature (pg. 40 of your manual) which allows you to more quickly turn ON the TV. When power is lost and then restored, your TV will display the HP logo screen while it boots the digital circuits. After it is finished, (unless it was previously turned on) it should appear to be OFF. This is normal operation. If you like, you can change this setting to LOW POWER. At this setting, each time you turn on the TV, you will see the HP Logo screen and picture/sound will appear after 20 seconds. Again, take a look at pg. 40 of your owners manual for more information.

go to turn tv on,hear a poping noise,once then tv standby lite blinks 3 times repeatily but no picture or audio.can you help me out with this thank you

This time Ur LCD inverter board is dead,must replaced that board to get picture back.The board is a long board.

Look for a bad solder joint or component in the power supply. Also check around the high voltage section. Make sure you do all of this with the set unpluged. It also could be a component heating up and failing, You could get some freeze spray and wait for the set to mess up and spray a section of the board at a time to locate the bad component. Hopr this is helpful.

Picture would not come on after turning it on. I have this set up as a monitor and connected to satellite tv. I rebooted several times and it came back once. I powered it off and it will not come back. It flashes but no picture.

hello .this does sound like bad solder joints .all printed circuit boards do this after a while due to heating and cooling .is not advisable to try to repair yourself .possible electric shock and spiking .will do a lot of damage .take to a shop to have repaired

check for dry joints in power supply

I think the set is worth repairing,it appear it has a loose conection and a few other, as well as overheated areas witch will need to be resoldered to prevent any other problems,if you are familiar with tv service you could check the horizontal drive and output circuits,if you are not too familiar with tv's be safe and call for assiatnce from a servicer.To correcthis problem it should not be too expensive.

Spounds like the b+ feed filter capacitor off the flyback that supplys voltage to the three drive transistors on the crt board is bad.
