My Dane Elec 2GB SD card won't communicate with my laptop properly - I've been using it with the Jazz T20 camcorder to make a film for my work. When I put the card into the reader (both an external one and the one on the laptop) it says that the files are empty! But the pictures and videos (hundreds of them) are definitely on the card!! HELP!!!

SOURCE: Dane Elec 4gb USB Not Readable

Try it in a different computer or even a different usb port on the computer that you are using. If a second computer gives you the same error, then the drive is either damaged or its filesystem is corrupted. In the first case there is not much you can do. In the second case you may be able to reformat it to make it work, but you would lose any data that was on it.

Will a 32 kg dane-elec memory card work with a Kodak easyshare P850?

No. The P850 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Wont read sd card

Make sure you are using a standard SD card. Most SD cards larger than 2GB are only available in the SDHC format. (Designed for Hi Def video). I did some research on your model and concluded that your camera only supports standard SD.

I bought an sd micro chip for my jazz dv151 camcorder, but everytime i put the chp in it reads memory full. The chips work in anything else but wont work in the camcorder. How do I fix this?

Whats the size of your SD Micro chip? Is it 4GB or larger?

You probably bought a SD-HC chip (wich includes 4GB and larger chips). Any SD card that is bigger than 2GB is in this HC-format and will only work if the device supports it.

As you can see here in the description, your device does infact only support SD cards up to 2GB. http://www.amazon.com/Jazz-DV151-Digital-Video-Camera/dp/B001F7MXJS

I guess you will need to use smaller ones in order to make them work with your camcorder.

Best regards from Germany :)

It's not unusual for Windows updates to mess up the registry and cause problems with the card reader slot. The easiest solution is to get an inexpensive card reader that plugs into a USB port on your computer. They always work. typrice_125.jpg

I have a Kodak Z740 dig camera. Ive just bought a 4gb dane-elec sd HC chip but when I get the screen format I klick continue but the session stops. Any ideas or is the HC chip not compatible with this...

According to the manual the Z740 uses SD and MMC cards. That means that SDHC cards such as your 4GB card will not work with this camera. You are limited to SD cards up to 2GB in size.

When I turn on my Jazz DV 152/ T20 it displays "Read card..." and then nothing happens...I have a 4GB SDHC card by SanDisk...both camera and card are new....is this a faulty camera or am I doing something...

Usually the first thing you need to do with any SD card and Camera is to go into the settings of the your camera and Format the SD card. This has to be done for each memory card you use with that camera. i.e. a SD card formatted on a Panasonic HD camcorder won't work in your Jazz Camcorder. The formatting is different between the two camcorders. New SD cards don't come formatted.
SO try inserting the SD card into your Jazz Cam and rummage through the setting until you find your memory settings. From there find the Format Memory Card function, format the SD Card and you should be good to go.
