Can't print to DP8020e from WinServ 2008 R2 with PCL6 nor PS drivers. Output goes from system queues right and then isn't priting without any errors comunicated from printer. Printing from 2003 with PCL5 is all right.

I would uninstall the printer. Then I would go to the Canon website and download the driver. Make sure you download the one for Win 7. Often when you upgrade, the system tries to use the old driver but as you found, it doesn't always work.

Not so much a problem but got message printed out while trying to print a document. Unsupported Personality: UNKNOWN. Does this mean something I should be concerned with ??

An error page will print with the words "Unsupported Personality: PCL " in the upper left hand corner. The printers are host-based and do not support PCL printing; therefore, installing an alternate PCL5e or PCL6 printer driver will frequently generate this error condition. NOTE: This error condition occurs by design when an attempt to print with a PCL5e or PCL6 printer driver occurs and is NOT a bug within the product software. SOLUTION: Install the correct HP LaserJet Host-Based Printer Driver or the HP LaserJet printing system software for the product. These drivers are available for download from the HP web site. Click here to go to the HP web site drivers and downloads page. NOTE: There are several programs (such as accounting, invoicing, court documentation applications) that are 16 bit (DOS) programs with a 32 bit (Windows) overlay. Due to the nature of these applications and the associated Windows overlay, the errors may continue with the correct printer drivers. These applications do not typically support a host-based output device, and as such would not be supported in these environments.

If you are using a PS (post script) print driver, delete it and install the PCL driver (PCL5 or PCL6 if available). May help, not positive. I have seen lots of pdf printing problems with PS or incorrect model drivers.
These drivers are free to download at "support.hp.com"

Doubled-up duplex printing

Try printing from several applications, and see if the problem follows one spesific app. It might be an application problem. If the problem remains, try printing with another driver. Both PCL and PS. Try to avoid HP's universal drivers. Try printing direct to the printer and via the printserver. If the problems still remains, perform a Cold Reset. Still error, replace the system board.
