Purchased new laptop with Windows 7 operating system (last May). I am totally frustrated as I am unsuccessful in downloading the driver for HP Officejet Pro L7780 all-in-One Ink Jet Printer. Could you please advise me what to do to remedy the problem. I have been limping along using a different printer (HP Officejet 6310) which just died. It is silly not to use this printer, which is faster and affords greater flexibility. I'm finally at the point that I need to get the Lll7780 operational. I have avoided addressing this issue, but now it is an imperative.

I need Windows 7 32 bit drivers for a HP Compaq Presario SR1303WM

HP does not have software or driver downloads available for your computer with Windows 7. HP provides software and driver updates for the operating system that originally came with the computer. Changing the operating system on your computer (upgrading or downgrading), puts the system into a configuration that might not work with the hardware design. If you you must change the operating system, get drivers from the manufacturer of the component you need. For example, if a computer has NVIDIA video hardware and was upgraded to a newer version of Windows, someone would go to NVIDIA's web site to download and install an updated driver.

If you are having problems with a driver download from the Motheboard site, I would suggest using "DriverMax" Theprogram and 2 downloads a day are free. Give it a go and just follow the instructions. I use it for laptop drivers. It is especially good for Windows 7.

Hope this solves your problem.

Check to make sure you have the correct driver for your operating syytem; are you running Windows 7 (32-bit) or Windows (64-bit)?

Go to Start > Device and Printers > System Check under System type to confirm your operating system.

If you do not have the correct driver you can download from here. Make sure you also download the three (3) Utility- Diagnostic Tools. These may be able to help resolve your problem if you do not already have them.

Please note that HP has posted several alerts for this products concerning Windows 7. You should review; Resolving HP Solution Center Scan and Product Status Issues After Upgrading Windows Vista to Windows 7 and Scanned Files Disappear after Scanning with HP Solution Center

If you feel you have the correct driver properly installed try running the Scan Diagnostic Tool. If you are unsure about the driver I would start there with an uninstall of the current driver and download of an updated driver for the installed operating system.

If this does not resolve problems work through the advice provided in the on-line resources linked above.

Good luck in resolving your problem.

Check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by going to Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. Download the Lexmark X4850 driver for Windows 7 using this link: http://bit.ly/arNLm9(for 32-bit) or this link: http://bit.ly/abQkwd(for 64-bit). Execute the file to install the driver. Purchased new laptop with windows 7 and printer will not install - not compatible

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?

Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:)) julyallan01_52.jpg

I have a new windows 7 laptop and want to install my printer hp deskjet f380 so i can scan but dont no what software to download

You will have to go to the HP website and find the driver download's. Make sure you choose the right driver to download based on what type of HP Printer you have and the type of Windows 7. There are 2 versions x34 and x64. Since windows 7 is so new much of the softwares we are currently using are not compatiable with Windows 7 operating system and will cause them to either stop working or stop responding.

Try updating the printers firmware.
You can download firmware here http://bit.ly/13kZ7i
If the problem remains, try replacing the driver with a PostScript-driver. That should help you out.
