Toshiba REGZA 32RV530U LCD TV Logo
Anonymous Posted on Feb 06, 2011

My girlfriend has a toshiba 32rv530u TV. when she first connected it to her time warner cable everything worked fine. since then time warner has added free hd channels for the local commercial stations (and the second and third sub-channel if there). these HD channels are on the 100+ channel numbers. I added those channels to the tv by doing the basic set-up again and doing a complete channel scan. We now have not only the channels that are HD, but many (very many) 100+ channels that are 'blank'. Every time I try the 'manual delete channel' process and select 'done' as instructed by the manusl, not only are some of the channels I just deleted still there, but channels that were deleted have returned! Software bug? Upgrade needed?

As I told the guru(?) during our chat that was cut off, THERE IS NO CABLE BOX! The cable is connected directly to the TV!

    this was NOT a solution.

EVERYONE GET THIS LITTLE FACT..........THERE IS NO CABLE BOX!!!!!!!!!

The cable is connected DIRECTLY to the TV, and its the channels on the TV that
    are not programming correctly.

I'm gonna take a wild guess here, NO ONE on this site has ever heard of this
problem before, so NO ONE knows what, if anything can be done to fix it.

That's okay, I've come across electronic problems before (I work full time as a
component level industrial equipment electronic technician) that I've never seen
and don't know what the 'fix' is, but I ALWAYS say ' you know what, I don't think
I can help you with this one'.
That is always the correct answer when you don't know what the answer is.

    Thanks(?)

I have Time Warner Cable for internet and Vontage cable for my phone thru my internet. I'm trying to connect a Linksys router for my wireless laptop. I also have a Netgear switch connected to Time Warner...

If you purchased a Linksys wireless roter then you shoul not need the switch anymore-
Try going directly from your time warner modem into the Interner/WAN port on the router and then plug your desktop computer and the vontage phone system into 2 of the ports on the router. After everything is hooked up you will probably need to power cycle for it all to work correctly.
Please power cycle in this order:

Reboot modem - then Router- then Vontage phone system.

Hope this helps

Cable box remote doesn't work when tv is turned on.

I am having this same problem with our Mitsubishi LCD Flat Panel TV, Model LT-46246 ans our Scientific Atlanta remote cable box, same model as yours. We cannot use the remote at all to change the channel. I called Mitsubishi and they said they have never heard of this. I find this incredibly hard to believe. Time Warner, our cable provider says that it is not the box because it works when not hooked up to the TV. What a pain. I would love to hear if anyone else is having this problem or has a fix for it.

Connection problem with HDMI cables on Denon AVR-589

Hello,
I want to clairify you install, you sat you have I an HDMI cable running from the Time Warner Cable box to the AVR-589, going in to the TV/CBL input. From the Denon AVR-589, I have an HDMI cable running from the output to my Toshiba RV525U television.

Check the connection at the TV, if as you indicated above you have an HDMI cable from the HDMI out from the Denon to an HDMI output on the TV, if this is the case you need to have that HDMI cable plugged into an input on the TV not an output
