FZ-11 tower fan oscillates, but fan blades do not turn

If your FZ-11 tower fan oscillates but the fan blades do not turn, there may be a problem with the motor or the fan mechanism. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can take:
  1. Check the power supply: Ensure that the fan is properly connected to a power source and that the power outlet is functioning correctly. Try plugging the fan into a different outlet or using a different power cord to eliminate the possibility of a power issue.
  2. Clean the fan: Dust and debris can accumulate on the fan blades and hinder their movement. Turn off the fan and unplug it from the power source. Use a soft brush or cloth to gently clean the blades and remove any obstructions. Be careful not to damage the blades or any other components.
  3. Inspect the fan mechanism: Look for any visible signs of damage or misalignment in the fan mechanism. Check if there are any loose screws, broken parts, or jammed components. If you notice any issues, you may need to disassemble the fan according to the manufacturer's instructions and repair or replace the faulty parts.
  4. Lubricate the motor: Over time, the motor bearings may become dry or worn, which can affect the rotation of the fan blades. Consult the fan's user manual or manufacturer's instructions for guidance on lubricating the motor. Apply a small amount of lubricating oil or grease to the motor shaft or bearings as recommended.
  5. Contact customer support: If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer's customer support for further assistance. Provide them with details about the problem and any troubleshooting steps you have already taken. They may be able to offer additional guidance or suggest further troubleshooting or repairs.

VORNADO FAN BROKEN BLADE DONT REPLACE!!!!!

My dog knocked off my vornado which then broke a blade off my favorite fan. I was going to use epoxy to try to get the blade to stick back on. This would not work. The fan spins to fast to use glue. I sat and thought about it for awhile and came up with a solution rather then spending 39.99. I used epoxy to get the blade where it should be and let it dry..... then took a hot nail and poked a hole through each blade close to the center of the shaft.... and then took a zip tie and connected each zip tie to each other forming a ring around the shaft. This works very good and if you need to balance out the fan just place a small zip tie on the center and clip off close to the lock. Now you can use the LOCK as a balance for the fan. GOOD LUCK

Broken fan blade on the 697400 humidifier

Hay Richard -- Little suckers spin to fast for gluing. Take the fan blade off , mark one side before you remove it ex: put an x on the side that is facing the wall. Take blade to a Johnstone supply house. Should be one near you somewhere, they are national. The guys there are usually very good at matching up fan blades. Make sure you keep the one you have with the mark on it. When you get home install the new blade the with the side out that was on the old blade. Hope that helps

GE Microwave vent fan replacement

(I'm assuming you're talking about the hood / vent / exhaust fan instead of the internal magnetron cooling fan).

The part # SMV-260UA-C will not be enough to go on, as there at least 3 variations on that number shown at Samsung parts.

These microwaves are made by Samsung, but you'd need the GE part number to replace the whole thing. They don't sell the blades separately.

The part # for the "ventilation motor" is WB26X10042 and you can find it for $97.11 here, which is about fifty dollars less than direct from GE.

I may have available a replacement flan blade off a used unit. If you'll send me the dimensions, I'll check. I need the length of the fan blade, the diameter, and the inside diameter / shaft size, and whether the shaft is round or "D" shaped.

Please feel free to contact me directly.

We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Removing ceiling fan blades

Wait? Why would you want to remove the blade? Are they broken? Is the fan unbalanced? Try cleaning the blade. If the fan still wobbles, try tightening the screws. If the fan still wobbles, Unscrew the blade and unconnect the blade from blade iron. Buy the new blade iron. If the blade is broken, Also buy the new blade.
