Need to accessmy router wep code - Linksys Wireless-G Broadband Router

the devices like laptops and tablets connect to the wi fi router through a number of connection types. Some are direct and some are secured. The secured connections require a code that is set up during the configuration of the wireless network router. One type of secure connection uses the WEP code. (wired equivalent privacy) . If your device is asking for a wep code then the router has been set up to ask for this code. You will need to find out what the code is. If you are not the owner of the router then you need to ask the owner. If you are the owner and have forgotten the password then you could factory reset the router and use the default setting. But this is risky as anyone can connect to the network around your place.

OK, firstly, your WEP code the a personal security code of the router, which secures your network.
This code is usually on the back, or bottom of the router. If you have personalised the router, you will need to log into the router and change the SSID name of the router. After you have changed the SSID of the router, you will be able to change the WEP code.

WEP code is nothing but the security key for the wireless network. You will need to check the settings of the router. Do you have any computer connected to the router or any computer going online using the router. You can open the set up page of the router and check the settigns of the router. You will find the WEP code on the router page.

to get the WEP key , you will need to access the routerset up. the WEP kwy is the security password for your wireless network and that is set up on your router. It is the security code for your router. Most are on the bottom of the router, sometimes there will be two WEP & WPA.

This is unless you have changed it to a different one, if so this is the code you need to enter.

The WEP code is whatever you make it when you set up the wireless connection. If you have lost this key. It is best to use the manual reset located on your wireless router. Will require a small point like a paperclip. Then you will have to access the router and set up the wireless internet over again. Then you can secure it with a new WEP key.
