Your generator is a welder?? Yikes, the 220 volts coming out of the genny is not the same as the 220 volts running a welder, it is, but it isn't, the 220 volts used to run the welder are transformed into DC, in the 50 -150 amp range, the 220 volts coming out of your genny is 220 volts, AC, at 30-40-50 amps. Now exactly how were you welding with 220 volts AC? Remove anything plugged into the genny, check the oil, check the gas, make sure it is fresh, check the breakers, check the fuses, get it running, now don't try to weld with it again. Unless you have a big welder to plug into it and I wouldn't even do that because of the generator spikes. I might be wrong, but I have never seen a genny with a welder on it for home use.

Well that makes more sense. I knew you had to do something there, so it isn't the welder's fault, it is the genny. You must have a batch of bad gas or the carbs are clogged up from sitting. most gennies get that way because they never get used. If it is back firiing, it is the jets. The low speed jet is either pumping in too much and flooding or the high speed jets is wide open,. either way, you will need to take the carb apart and clean it out, get the gunk out of it and make sure the jets are clean, I mean clean. Also, is the genny rated for 50 amps? I think the welder might be more than the genny can handle.

I can turn the welder on and it can run all day but when I start welding with in a minute the overheat light will come on and it will stop feading wire. I'm trying to weld on mid temperature.

Have you checked so see if your power cable is the right size?? Is it a 220 or 110? If it is 110 then it will cut off after it gets hot, if it is 220 and the power cord is too small then the machine will be trying to pull more amps than the cord can handle causing it to overheat and shut off.. My husband has been a welder for 20 years.. I'm just passing along what he suggested might be the problem.. Hope this helps!

Lost power to my redcat 220 ac/dc welder

You say you lost power to the welder. Did you check the circuit breaker where the power comes from in the breaker panel?
It will be a 2 pole breaker. If you mean the welder quit, then you will have to unplug it from 220 volt and open it up where the wire goes into the welder and see if the fuses are blown, if they are replace with the same type of fuses and try to weld again. If they blow again then you have a bigger problem and you should have a welding person take a look at it.

Fan cutting out on my sip welder

It may be the bearings are gumming up. Try oiling with some synthetic oil.

If someone tried lubing it with WD40- replace fan. WD40 makes a great adhesive on close tollerance parts..

Miller Trailblazer, welds great for about 30 minutes. Then I loose my arc. It will spark but not maintain the arc. I let it cool off for 15 to 30 minutes it will weld for another 15 to 30 minutes.

Sounds pretty normal. These units are not rated to weld continuously. They might only be rated at 5-10% for cheap welders and longer for better ones. They are never designed to run continuously. You need to get into the higher end ($$$) before you get that ability.
You can try to blow cool air into the unit to help it cool. Sometimes this can extend the work time.Basically you can try that or work to your temp cut off limit as you have been or upgrade to a better unit. That is about all you can do.

Lincoln 135 PRO MIG Welder feed stops after a few minutes

1/4" plate with a 135 amp machine is probably beyond it's duty cycle abilites. If you are using a mixed gas, and pushing the max on the settings, it will be cutting out because it is designed to.
You might want to get a higher amperage welder for consistent welding of 1/4"
The 140 Pro maxes out at 5/16" using inner shield wire. and 1/8", or 10 guage with gas.

Welder blowing house fuses, was alright for the past 5 years. welded has had new leads, also electric leads

Try replacing the breakers in the box if you know how. If the breakers has tripped more than 5 times then that weakens the breaker and it needs to be replaced, this is especially so if you it's 220 volt welder. There may be bus bar wear from arcing and you may have to buy a new breaker and put it in a new slot and not use the breaker that is for the welder at present. If its a stab lock breaker turn it off and remove it and get a new one at any hardware store. IF IT STILL BLOWS THE NEW BREAKER Call an electrician because you may have a lug failing on one leg, if this is the case the box could damage other appliances or kill the side your refrigerator is on or freezer then you have an emergency problem losing the food. let me know if this helped.

My Handler 135 mig welder , welds and then cut out will not feed no more .Where could I find a parts for internal parts for Hobart 135? I would love to find a direct location to order this internal parts.

hi if the set cuts out after 10 /15 min on full power the thermal cut out switch is doing its job if it cuts out after 2 or 3 min it is faulty it is a bi metalic switch and is clipped on the main transformer take the wires off it and join up try the set DO NOTweld without it as you will overheat the transformer these little sets only have something like a 20% duty cycle hope this helps merlin v12
