Red light on top of the mouse even after changing the battery. I put a brand new battery , problem still occurs. Also set point informs battery levels critical

Here is how I fixed that problem (Orange blinking, then red light) on this Logitech MX mouse.

Remove the battery of the mouse
Insert the Radio USB dongle into the PC, power it.
Close the lid of the mouse
Insert new battery into the mouse
Click and hold the RIGHT button of the mouse.
While continue holding, power up the mouse by opening the lid.
Check the control led on top of the mouse, it should stay dark.
Wait around 7 or 8 seconds, it turns then solid Green.
Release the mouse button, start using the mouse.

I take away receiver from the PC, switch off my Logitech Anywhere MX mouse and then swith the mouse on when pressing two left and right buttons simultaneously.
Green light is on. I insert receiver back to the PC. The mouse works.

My Logitech MX 1100 just stopped working out of the blue. The red battery light on top is blinking, so even though I've only been using this for a couple weeks (and the batteries were fairly fresh) I...

I had the same problem, brand new battery, the indicator light still blinking red. I finally got mad enough to shake the mouse kinda hard, and it worked. I then removed and replaced the old batteries in, it started blinking red again, but it worked after I gave it a couple of hard side by side shake. I do notice that there's something moving inside the mouse. It could be a connector that got loose. Hope this fixes your problem

Have a logitech mouse which I bought in January 2010 and for 2 days now the red light appears and sometimes blinks. . It still is working so far.

the red light is one of two things, either you have an optical mouse and the red light is normal (on the bottum) or your battery is low

Logitech mx600 mouse

A visit to the Logitech site will / should solve the problems. It's probably a driver problem but if you install Setpoint (Logitech) then that has a few tests included with should resolve the issues.

Mouse just won't work

Hi there, Kindly check your your batteries correct orientation. + for Positive and - for negative, this usually causes heat up on gadgets. Else if this does not solve your problem your mouse power section may have a defective or shorted part since it heats up.
