I have a samsung fridge/freezer. Production date 2007. Model#RS20NRSV5/XSA both the fridge an freezer not getting cold The lights are on but no cold air.An cant hear anything working at the back.

Your compressor is not working that's why its not cooling and you cant hear anything.
Possible cause:
  1. thermostat is set to off or defective
  2. defective capacitor that's why your compressor failed to run.
  3. defective compressor motor
  4. Freon leak or no freon at all.
Solution:
  1. check thermostat switch or relay
  2. check capacitor and wiring.
  3. check compressor motor.
  4. Check Freon pressures.

My KTM3900WB fridge/freezer is not freezing and cooling in the fridge. The light goes and can hear the motor is running.

You are either low on freon refrigerant, or your compressor is frozen (usually due to low freon) or your compressor is bad. the motor will cycle on and off even though the compressor is not working. the refrigerator away from the wall and look compressor will be a nerf football sizedand usually black cylinder. It could be very hot or cold/frozen. can also unplug the refrigerator leave it for a few hours and plug it back in if it work you are low on freon. You need a repairman

Samsung rs2630sh not cooling or freezing

If it has fan to deliver cold air, and it is not working, cold air is stuck on the begining. So your fan could be dead. And I suppose, that compressor is running all the time. Even compressor could stert freezing if fan does not deliver cold air in fridge. The other option is, that there is not enough gas in the compressor. In this case compressor vould not be freezing, but line, going out of compressor has to be hot, if it is not, there is no gas.

Freezer works fridge cool but not cold

Most side by side units have 2 compressor units. If you listen for it, you should be able to hear 2 compressors with slightly different pitches, operating at different times, or sometimes at the same time. If you never hear the fridge side compressor turn on, a sensor or the compressor is probably bad, if you never hear the fridge side turn off, the temp sensor is bad. If it has ever, or is leaking in the back, then there is a puncture in the cooling system, and the fridge will not be able to be cooled. If you can pull the fridge out and examine the tubes or unplug it for about 10 minutes and plug it back in to observe compressor activity and any small leaks, it would give a more definite answer to the problem. A mechanic will most likely be necessary.

Won't cool any more

What do you mean turns on. The light inside is on. Do you hear the compressor coming on. If you hear the compressor turning on and the fridge doesn't get cold, compressor might need freon. If compressor doesn't turn on, your timer is not working

Fridge is not cold

Side by side cooling units usually have 2 compressors, one for the freezer and one for the refrigerator. The refrigerator compressor may be bad, or not pulling enough power, or there may have been a leak in the tubing that the compressor uses to cool the unit with. To diagnose the problem, be aware of the noises the unit makes, and check to make sure it is a 2 compressor unit. If you only hear one compressor running then your compressor is bad, if you hear one running too often, then your tubing is bad, if the back of the refrigerator side is warm but the inside is not cooling down, then the compressor is not drawing enough power. Keep in mind that the radiant heat from the operational (presumably) freezer side may cause the refrigerator side to appear warm. (usually there is a type of wire backing with tubes running along it, these tubes should be mildly warm.)

Fridge issues

Hi adamvovo.
It sounds like the compressor isn't running. The way you can tell if it is or not, is to pull the back off of the refrigerator, and listen, or put your hand on the compressor. It's the small black thing at the bottom, with tubes running into and out of it.
If you don't feel a vibration, or if it cold to the touch after it has been plugged in for awhile, the compressors' bad, or some circuit which controls it.
