If it's self powered and accepts a standard RCA Line Level LFE Pre Out input, you're good to go.

If not, tell us more about the sub.

My AVR-E400 sub woffer not working through the Denton system

AVR-E400 has an RCA subwoofer output. This is a line level signal that must be connected to an ACTIVE subwoffer (has its own power amplifier) Also the source must contain subwoffer signal (5.1, 7.1, 9.1 surround sound etc) You will not get subwoffer signal from a stereo source such as audio CD, non-dolby type TV etc. Cheers, Don.

I bought a Denon AVR 791 receiver two months ago, work great, sound great with my Definitive Technology Speakers but 3 days ago while I was watching a movie on my PS3 the receiver turned off on the higher...

Clearly, it thinks you're overdriving it.

Blinking Power Indicator every 2 seconds means the internal temperature is high. (Page 76 of the manual)

Every half-second - speaker impedance too low.

Consider the load presented by the speakers and what their minimum impedance might be.

Check for loose speaker wires.

Hi there. I am trying to get my subwoofer to work with my denon 791 receiver. I have played around with a lot of the settings and cranked up the subwoofer volume on the actual sub but nothing is coming...

It's not THAT easy. First, turn the volume down. We don't troubleshoot with maximum volume.

The receiver has to know about the sub and be configured to send some, if not all, bass t o it, then the levels have to be adjusted.

The manual for the avr791 is here:

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Denon-AVR-791-Receivers-manual/id/23693ag505/t/2/

You're going to need to be very familiar with it.

Starting at page 6 the manual talks about the automatic setup.

When they talk about defining the other speakers as Large vs Small later on, what they mean is not the literal Size, but if the speaker can reproduce bass or not.

I don't know what your sub is so maybe you could refere to ITS manual or find it at retrevo.com

Denon AVR 1804

You need to get the manual and do some reading first. I couldn't find the AVR-1804 but the AVR-1803 is avaiable. It should be close enough to get you through connection and setup.

Want to put set of outside polk speakers to Denon avr 2807

Do you have outputs for both A and B speakers? If so you can easily hook the outside speakers to the B outputs.

No sound from my brand new speakers

I am assuming you have tried new speakers on used unit on both A & B choices. Have you tried your new speakers with old 2802? If they work OK with old unit, you have problem with amplifier in used unit. Take the used 2802 to a reputable shop and have it thoroughly tested. Perhaps it is just a loose connection.
