UNPLUG IT FIRST, SAFTY FIRST
LET IT COOL OFF,
EMPTY THE WATER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE
THEN CLEAN WITH 409, OR MR CLEAN, OR WINDEX WITH
A LITTLE BIT OF VINEGAR ADDED ( ABOUT 3 ~ 4 TABLESPOONS )
TO HELP IN CUTTING THE GREASE
THEN BEFORE YOU PLUG IT IN, ADD SOME WATER TO THE TANK,
PLUG IT IN, RESET YOUR CLOCK { IF YOURS HAS A CLOCK }
AND ENJOY !! dd

Keurig Coffeemaker says to descale. How do I do that?

Hi, unplug the coffee machine and remove the cup.

Turn the coffee machine upside down over the sink in order to fully drain it of water. Be careful of the plug and avoid getting it wet.

Pour undiluted white vinegar into the reservoir up to the top edge of the viewing window.

Place a ceramic cup under the machine, plug it in and press "Brew" for a large cup. Pour the cups of vinegar into the sink and repeat the process until the reservoir is empty.

Remove the final cup of vinegar and empty it. Fill the coffee maker with clean water and allow it to sit for four hours, remaining on.

Unplug the machine and dump the water into the sink.

Fill up the reservoir with fresh, clean water and plug it in. Place the ceramic cup back on the drip tray and run multiple brews in order to rinse the machine of any remaining vinegar residue.

I can;t find manual and I want to clean my keurig coffee maker

You may be able to find the User Guide for your Keurig machine here:

Your brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar. Full de-scaling insturctions can be found here:

How do you go about "descaleing" the coffee maker? The water does not flow through the coffee capsule very well.

I know that most grocery stores sell a "cleaner" or two next to their coffee filters/coffee makers/kitchen appliances section. These are usually heavily acidic, and will do a great job of cleaining your coffee maker. I've always been wary of acid in my coffee though, so I just use white vinegar. It'll do a decent job of cleaning out the coffee maker. Run a 1:1 mix of water and vinegar through your coffee maker, drain it, then run water through at least twice.

Scaleing/deposits building up in a coffee maker are signs of imperfections in the water. All tap water has it, but if you don't want to worry about it, use bottled or filtred water in your coffee pot. Plus, your coffee will taste better!

I have a Black 4 cup Mr Coffee with luminate lighting and time display programer so that I can have coffee brewed in the morning when I get up for work at 4:30am my problem is the coffee pot has started...

I had a black and decker coffee pot do same thing and it was brand new. here is how I fixed it.
make sure the filter seated down good. If you look at the top of the coffee pot it should open up the little valve of the coffee filter holder. also mine had a little water spout above the coffee filter that swings over the filter. make sure it is over the filter. I know my coffee pot is different, but I think the problem is the opening from filter to coffee pot is not open some how so the water is flooding over the filter and going out the sides onto counter
hope this helps

How much vinergar do put in a 12 cup coffee maker when cleaning it

Howdy, 1 part vinegar to 3 parts water. Pretend you are making a pot of coffee. It is recommended to do this every 2 months or so, more oftenif you have really hard water.
