My colors separate as you go from right to left across the view screen so that at the left side of the screen 3 overlapping images appear, each one is one of the RGB colors. Can this be fixed by me or do I need professional repair help. Thanks, Kevin Brown

Samsung lcd tv with double image on screen

T'Con board should be suspected. Visit the site named 'Electro-help' for more details. Click this link. View it in "Timeslide" or "Flipcard" option, which can be selected from the drop down box menu by the [Sidebar] tag, at the top left corner of the display window. It will make search easy. There are more than 1300 posts to different brand TVs now. Pull up older posts there.

I have a Mitsubishi WD-62525. In general the picture is great from all sources (cable, component, and hdmi). However, there occasionally are very thin, horizontal lines that flicker across the screen....

I have seen this problem before. It is usually caused by a malfunctioning color wheel. Replacing it should resolve the problem. Let me know if you wish to fix it yourself so that I can find you a replacement.

Samsung syncmaster 914v monitor problem. right side of display is darker image. can see dots like a newspaper print or looking through a screen. when display is black it almost appears like an image is...

This is likely the LCD panel itself - you are describing a left/right image error that can be only created by the left/right division by the LCD driver wrapped around the outside of the LCD panel.
If your monitor uses a separate circuit board to drive the LCD, it could be this driver board.
Either way, it will require an LCD panel - $$$

Samsung HCN4727W Rear Projection TV, green screen, audio works

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai2_bing.gif,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

Problem #1) Convergence

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture

Distorted image and color separation and overlap

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} The best advice I can tell you at this point is to go to tvrepairkits.com and order the complete convergence kit for your model of TV set, no need to search and order multiple parts from different sources and pay multiple shipping fees! The kit comes with original Sanyo STK IC’S , not those cheap aftermarket or china made IC’S full pictorial directions, the thermal paste, resistors, the correct Pico fuses, AND free live on-Line tech assistance in case you run into a problem with the repair. They ship out 2 to 3 day Priority mail, the next day in most cases GOOD LUCK!!!

Colors are separated on the top from the left to right

Probably the color convergence is off. I had a similar problem. Have you tried the magic focus button yet? That is located at left in the small front control panel. Power on TV, wait 20 min (according to user guide), then press the magic focus. If that doesn't fix the problem, you could try the service mode alignment procedure. But that's a little trickier. I don't have a link handy for that procedure right now, but will look for it if magic focus doesn't re-align your color convergence.

A double horizontal image, divided evenly across the screen

you probably will need to reload the firmware check with maker for any upgraded firmware
just as a computer has a cmos program that can have problems
so does a tv or Lcd monitor with a tuner card and speakers
reload the newest firmware . the resolution scaler is overlaping
unless the two images are different colors
