Question about Olympus Camedia C-60 Zoom Digital Camera

1 Answer

Hello, I have 2 questions. First, how can I get, or where can I buy the small screws that are on the outside of the camera. Without my noticing at first, I eventually noticed that 3 of the screws fell off. Secondly, is there a way where I can set the exposure settings, for instance, at SQ1, and make sure it stays there permantly on less I reset the setting. Everytime I set it to a specific setting, when I finish using it and I close the camera, when I reopen it, it goes back to the HQ setting, this is a bit annoying. I hope someone can help me. Thank you very much.

Dropped camera. Now there is a small rattle and the scope will not go in or out. Camera will not stay on Have No cash to replace or fix How do I fix this myself?

To even get inside you will have to but at least very small screwdriver set which should be fairly cheap enough. But there are many things between the outside and the lens.It will be very tedious, nerveracking because the screws are so small, and you will have to remember how it goes back together.I am in the process of simply replacing the door on my SLR and it is all of the above and there are still numerous parts/pieces.And that is without having to dig deep because the screws are very tiny and difficult to handle and position. If you do try to repair,do not magnetize any of the screwdrivers.I did that to one and it just makes it more difficult.
Good luck!(you will need it) Greg

2006 H3 Hummer fan problem

Hi if your internal fan not work in any position well i fixed up myself easy and save your money.
locate the fan motor air just outside right courtesy drawn document in front of passenger. go from down and look up you will see a motor with a big connector white with 2 screw secure inside the motor block. loose the two screws and pull out gently the connector from motor fan block. you will see a green multiresistor connected with this big connector. Usually the first + voltage connector is burnet out. disconnect the connector pull from resistor and check for any burn. in my case the first pin was burned out completely
you can buy another connector or you can clean the burned connector take out form connector weld a small copper cable of 5 mm dia from resistor to the burn cable and reconnect the connector without buy a new one. after replace again the resistor in the hole of motor blow with the 2 screw.
Done all work again without buy another new connector.

Hello! I have a problem with my cam. When I put the memorycard into the cam, it says - memory protect! What does it mean and what should I do? Thanks in advance!!

Actually your memory card is 'memory-protected' ! You cannot use it without making it 'unprotected'.

Try these steps to unprotect it :

1. Remove the memory card from the camera.

2. On the down-end (which faces outside when it's inside the camera) of the card, you will find a small sliding switch.

3. Move the switch to the opposite direction (left or right) of the present position.

4. Now, it is unprotected and you can use it!

please rate me if it helps....tc! :)

Canon SD950 IS not turning on

The camera has to be taken apart. Your solution of shaking will always be a temporary repair and in the long run will most likely cause more damage.

Cracked LCD on Canon PowerShot A510. A few weeks back, I noticed that my LCD view screen was cracked on my camera. The camera still functions since I use the other view finder anyway. However, I obviously...

Your best option is buy a junk one off ebay and replace LCD. LCD replacement is very straight forward, just remove the screws, pry the case apart and the rest will be easy. Use the one you buy off ebay and practice getting it apart.

SD600, the camera time resets everytime i turn it on. i read the manual and found out that there is rechargeable lithium battery built into the camera to save such setting. does any one know what type...

There's a little battery in the camera under where the tripod mount is. Make sure your camera is out of warranty before attempting any repairs. Opening the case will void your warranty. Do this at your own risk.
1) Remove all six screws from the outside of the case.  2) You'll need to loosen the LCD panel, there are two little tabs holding the panel, and one screw up by the speaker (photo/movie/view) switch.  3) Remove the screw by the speaker, this will give you access under the LCD. Do not unhook the LCD cables.  4) Now under the LCD panel you should see a screw that connects the metal backplate with the tripod mount, remove that screw.  5) On the bottom, on the main motherboard, there's another screw holding the tripod mount in.  6) After removing the tripod mount, you should see a battery under the LCD cable.  7) On the main motherboard, gently (GENTLY) remove the large LCD cable and pull it through to the other side.  8) You should now see the battery pretty clearly.  9) Replace the battery. MS614X 10) Reverse the steps.

Kenmore dryer timer doesnt move.

the timer contains a small electric constant speed motor, that advances the timer through its stages. the motor separately costs 1/2 as much as a new timer unit if you can buy it, your local parts guy may have rebuilt timer units for kenmore, popular brand.
partsselect.com or allaplicanceparts may have motors

and 2nd problem will be the hi limit thermal fuse, on the exhaoust duct internal to the dryer, small screw on device on the exhaust duct, when exhaust air reaches too high a temperature, like a blockage, they fail before a fire.
Clean the exhaust ducts all the way to the outside wall, lots of vent hoods block over time. then examin the exhaust duct for devices that look like this 6138e08.jpg or like this 8b7e2d6.jpg with wires connected to the terminals. there may be 2(hi lo), test with a flashlilight bulb or meter conductivity good, no conductivity replace.
there are only a few different kinds the local parts guy will have them all. take the dud one for him to match.
