How do I burn a DVD on HP a1540n (with MS Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005)? I have a video of a family funeral on a DVD that I want to rip and burn to a new DVD to share with family members. I know how to rip and burn CDs via Windows Media Player, but don't see instructions how to rip and burn DVDs. On the front of the desktop where I insert the disk, is a label that reads: "LightScribe DVD +_Writer/CD Writer. Please advise in simplest terms as possible! Thank you.

Go to the following website and download their free software:

http://www.koyotesoft.com/

The progarm you want is called : Free Videos to DVD V3.2

Or you can read about it and download it from WWW.CNET.COM at the following link:

http://download.cnet.com/Free-Videos-To-DVD/3000-2194_4-10764541.html?tag=mncol;6

It works ok and its free.

Hi There,

Windows Media Center Edition is exactly that; an "Edition" of XP Pro. If you go to My Computer and then click on System Properties, you will likely be comforted to see that you indeed have Windows Media Center Edition 2005.
