Have an infocus litepro 580, lamp and speakers works fine. Projector will only show the "infocus systems" opening display without changing to my video source. All cables are correctly in,...

Go into the settings menu of the projector and turn off the auto source function, then select the input that you are using.

if using a laptop you may have to simultaneously press your FN and relevant 'F' key to send the signal out to the projector. The 'F' key usually has an image of two side by side monitors or it says LCD/CRT. Wait a few seconds each time for the signal to be sent to the projector. Sometimes you may have to repeat this action 3 times to get the image on both your laptop and your projector.

good luck

Hi,
In most cases this problem is cured by enabling the external VGA (or monitor) ouput on the laptop. The quickest way is to reboot the laptop with the projector turned on and connected. Usually the laptop will detect an external display is attached and enable the port.
It is also possible to manually enable the external display port. It varies from laptop to laptop but look for the "Fn" key at the bottom left of the keyboard, usually coloured green or blue. You should see a row of icons on the top row of "F" keys which is in the same colour. Look for the one which is either a monitor, or possibly says LCD or CRT.

Hold down the Fn key and press the key you located in the last step. There is usually a delay of a few seconds and then you'll find something may happen. Usually the external output will be turned on alongside the local (laptop) display. Repeatedly following the last step cycles through all available configuration options, including both on, local on, local off, external on, and external off.
This should fix it. Make sure that the correct input is selected on the projector whilst doing this. It will be labelled on the projector and it should display the same input message on screen.

Laptop connected to projector get initial message "no signal" then projector continually searches through video, computer 1 and computer 2 - what do I do?

Make sure that you have enabled the 2nd screen output from the laptop. It sounds like there is no signal at the input of the projector. You can check this by connecting a monitor to the 2nd output of the laptop. Often you have to press one of the function keys (F5 possibly) to enable the 2nd screen from a laptop.

Hi-

Check the ports from the back of your projector, look for an s-video port then check the available ports as well on your computer, so you either use an S-video cable or VGA cable, then when you connect your computer, if its a laptop press fn key then double tap f5 or f7.

LCD projector no signal message

Usually means that the computer is not sending a signal out the the projector via the monitor cable. Most Windows based laptop computers allow you to connect to a second monitor by pressing the Fn + F7 or F8 key, once to allow just the projector, twice to allow both the projector and laptop screen and three times back to only the laptop.
