My aircon has stoped working..only thing i have done is replace batteries

Check if the batteries both are giving at least 1.5volts each. Clean the terminals of the remote control to secure proper contact with the batteries. Check if the negative terminal of the remote have enough pressure to keep the batteries firmly inside the remote control. Point the remote to the sensor of your air conditioner and press the power button. Changing direction of the remote control pointing to the air conditioner while pressing power button. If still air conditioner does not work clean the sensor eye to remove dust and switch again the unit.

Samsung aircon remote not working

Does your remote have batteries? If yes change them. Somewhere on the unit there should be a selector switch, put it into test and manually lower the thermostat setting

Haven't actually located a purchasing point for these battery contacts but have temporarily overcome the problem by use of aluminium foil which is a commonly known workaround.
