I want to know where the oil goes on this machine?

ON a d55155 compressor, you will find the dipstick on the left side as you are facing the control panel. Notice a small black knob on the end-bell of the pump. Pull out the dipstick and notice the oil level line just up from the tip of the stick. Over-filling will cause oil to leak. Use 30wt non-detergent oil or compressor oil. Good luck

Dewalt d55155 compressor runs to 60 lbs then acts like not enough power and shuts down

Looks like it's an oiled style compressor. Is it getting pretty hot by the time it hits 60psi? Might be low on oil, or the oil has been contaminated with water from condensation. If that's the case then what is happening is the compressor is causing too much resistance for the motor to turn it because of the excess friction. This is could be what is causing it to shut down prematurely.

It is an electric motor Dewalt Emglo Compressor model#D55151. What type of oil should I use in it?

Dewalt recommends using synthetic pump oil, however if you only use the machine occasionally and not in a commercial setting, standard compressor oil will work great and save you money. Synthetic oil will last longer and can take much higher temperatures without breaking down. Lowes sell the kobalt brand of compressor oil and sells for about $3 for standard and $7 for synthetic. Home depot sells campbell hausfeld brand but equally as good. Auto parts stores also sell a line of compressor /pump oil just watch pricing for your needs. If you can't find compressor oil, non-detergent motor oil works just fine. Good holidays

I want to change my EMGLO D55155 compressor oil. What type and how much oil should I use? Thank you!

The compressor tanks 4 ounces of oil.

You want to use a synthetic oil in this unit. We like to use Mobil 1 full synthetic 10w30 oil.

Dewalt/Emglo D55155 compressor screeching and breaker blown

Sounds like it isn't getting oil on the bearings. Take it apart yourself, after you get a diagram of it and find a parts source.
