Question about Polaroid i832 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Dropped camera i dropped my camera and when i turn it on the screen looks cracked and it white! it looks broken on the inside. I have a polaroid i830. One day i dropped it on the floor, and it doesn't work now. If i push the power button on, the power light comes on, but the screen and everything stays off. I also can't get the light to turn off unless I take out the batteries. The screen appears to have a crack. Is there any way to fix it before spending to get a new one ??

My camera fell out of my pocket book and busted the door. I glued it. that worked for about 6 months. I need the door for it and it will be as good as new.

HALF OF MY SCREEN IS WHITE I think I might have cracked my screen I'm not sure and I was wondering if i cracked it inside and would it be able to be repaired and how much would it cost to repair

Sounds like it is just a broken screen. Unless you can find a replacement online for cheap and diy, might be better to buy a new tablet. Sorry. :-(

it is an LCD screen. once cracked, it is not repairable...the screen itself Must be replace with a new one.

CRACKED SCREEN

You cannot repair the broken LCD screen; the white you are seeing is the backlight for it. LCDs have extremely thin gold deposits along one edge that is contacted by a silicone rubber strip that has fine wires molded into it vertically and one edge is pressed against the LCD panel for contact. It is a fussy arrangement when new and it sure doesn't get any better when dropped.
I wouldn't delay too long looking for parts or repair; Polaroid filed for bankruptcy last week although I doubt if the parent had anything to do with the manufacture of your camera; as with many companies with limited manufacturing means, the camera was surely built by others.
