I have a Magic Chef MCWC50DBT wine cooler that doesn't cool. When it was first given to me the fan ran but the compressor didn't. I replaced the PTC starter relay and overload and the compressor now runs, gets warm to the touch, but there is no cooling taking place. The inside temperature stays approximately the same as the outside ambient temperature. When I open the door it is obvious to me that there has been no cool air entering the box.

I don't know if it makes any difference, but the model # is MCWC50 DBT. The cicuit diagram on the back panel of the cooler shows a transformer in the micro computer controller and connections to a defrost sensor and a temperature sensor. The fan runs continuously as soon as I apply power.

Sorry, I goofed when posting my reply to you. I don't know if it matters, but the model # is MCWC50 DBT. The circuit diagram on the back panel shows within the micro computer controller circuit a transformer and connections to the interior light, a temperature sensor, and a defrost sensor.

There a couple of power supplies that run the fan, and you probably have a bad power supply, that needs replace or repair, try changing out the lectronlytics caps on the power supply modules .

I have a Haier BC112G. It is not cooling at all. Temp panel works, so I can set the thermostat up or down, but nothing happens and it just goes back to room temp after that.

Our magic chef wine cooler (mcwc50dbt) when temp is set on digital panel at 45-50 it jumps immediately back to 70 degrees constantly

Magic Chef Wine Cooler Model #MCWC50DBT will not hold correct temperature. Temps fluctuate between about 45 to often 70 degrees F. Also, often get an "EEF" error message.

Mr. Lindquist: We are experiencing essentially the same problem. Have tried replacing the temperature control board without change. Would be interested to know if you get a solution.

What is the part directly under start relay that also plugs into compressor? it has red wire attached to it.

on the compressor you should have the relay and a start capacitor.

Magic Chef MCWC30MCG not getting cold?

You need to replace the Ptc unit attached to the compressor. Go to REPAIR CLINIC.COM and order the following part. 1206838 Ptc relay. They also will show you were it is located and how to replace it. Compressor tanks very rarely go bad. It is an $11.00 dollar part
