I have a Magic Chef MCWC50DBT wine cooler that doesn't cool. When it was first given to me the fan ran but the compressor didn't. I replaced the PTC starter relay and overload and the compressor now runs, gets warm to the touch, but there is no cooling taking place. The inside temperature stays approximately the same as the outside ambient temperature. When I open the door it is obvious to me that there has been no cool air entering the box.
I don't know if it makes any difference, but the model # is MCWC50 DBT. The cicuit diagram on the back panel of the cooler shows a transformer in the micro computer controller and connections to a defrost sensor and a temperature sensor. The fan runs continuously as soon as I apply power.I don't know if it makes any difference, but the model # is MCWC50 DBT. There a couple of power supplies that run the fan, and you probably have a bad power supply, that needs replace or repair, try changing out the lectronlytics caps on the power supply modules .
Check nand see if the voltage are going toio the fans, if the fans do run it will not cool.Check nand see if the voltage are going toio the fans, if the fans do run it will not cool.

Mr. Lindquist: We are experiencing essentially the same problem. Have tried replacing the temperature control board without change. Would be interested to know if you get a solution.
