Recently my house got struck by lightening. It blew a few things out, one being the tv. It's a Sanyo Dp39842 42", green light comes on showing that its turned on and sound comes out but no picture.

You need to report to your homeowners insurance. It is normally about as cheap to buy TV nowadays as to repair. Especially one hit by lightning.

Trying to replace lamp in HDTV and having trouble. Does not function correctly after putting in new bulb. Boots up and then visuals go black and the green power light keeps flashing. Help?

Panasonic DLP TV Bulbs

Make sure its an original Osram or Philips bulb inside the housing. If its a cheap lamp it will act this way. If it is an original lamp, then you may have a power supply issue. It shouldn't affect your TV but you may want to try resetting the lamp timer by following the instructions that came with the lamp.

TY-LA1001 Timer reset

While pressing the VOL- button on the projection display, hold down the number 0 button on the remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds.

I can't get my tv to turn on. I turn it on and the green light comes on 3 times and the light only stays on for 3 seconds and then turns off. Can't get anything to happen with screen. Can you help me

Does it sound like it's coming on then powers down? Mine turned out to be the bulb. I bought a bulb on Ebay for less than $90.00 and installed it myself.

The bulb was inside a square metal housing, pull housing and bulb out of tv, replace the bulb reusing the existing housing, then replace..... Pretty easy fix, and I'm not all that mechanically inclined. Good luck!

Hey everyone, I have an issue with my foxtel box. The power point was turned off, and once I turned it back on, the green light on the foxtel box is on. The remote control works seems to work as I can use...

If power was lost likely a glitch in the unit, try to unplug it for a while and if no help something was damaged when power went off and came back on.

Could you show a picture of the distended cover you mentioned?

Were the light blue lines you were referring to, diagonal, or truly horizontal?
