Without knowing what model Toshiba you have I have to guess that it has an audio output on it. If it does then you connect the audio out on the Toshiba to the TV/VCR in on the Pioneer with a red and white audio RCA cable. Next you do the same for your cable box. Once again not knowing what model cable box I have to make assumptions. Connect your audio output on the cable box to where it says aux IN on the Pioneer with a red and white audio RCA cable.

Can i connect the htd k170 hitachi dvd player to a hd tv

YES - but the picture quality won't be HD - you need to check which leads you need - look at the back of the DVD and the TV.

GOOD LUCK

The 5 disc console trays open but it does not stay open, it closes inmediately

Three things to check first the open close button is bad. Second is the tray sensor switch, and third is the microprocessor that controls the tray is bad. Usually it is the tray switch.

How to connect vcr to record from digital cvonverter box?

How about some make / model numbers?

Generally, the L and R audio would go to the VCR's L andR audio in and the composite single RCA video cable would go to the VCR's composite Video In.

The easiest way to proceed is by using RCA cables (the red, white, yellow) to connect the cable box.

Connecting my Humax Series 2 Tivo to a Motorola HD DCH3416 Cable Box

Yes, the Tivo will just record in standard definition, instead of high def.

You can still hook the two up together, though.

What I would suggest (and have done in the past) is this:
Split the cable coming out of the cable box.
Hook one up to your HD cable box, and the other up to the Tivo.
Hook the output of your HD cable box to one HD input on your TV
Hook the output of your Tivo up to a different (non-HD) input on your TV.

This will allow you to watch HD while recording standard definition, and vise versa.

Running the HD through the Tivo will work, but will limit you to not be able to watch HD through it.

I have a jvc 1200 stero

As a general rule surround sound is only sent on HD signals for the dvd. Otherwise it comes to your home in basic stereo sound. Consult your user manual for ways to turn on simulated surround sound also known as Dolby ProLogic.

I now have Vista

Go to the Logitech website and see if they have one you can download it from there support site just look for your model once you get there if not think of buying a newer camera I got a 510 also and mine runs fine on XP. But load the drivers before hook up your camera hook it all up but leave the cable out of the camera cable port till the software tells you to install it.
