Using the remote control open tray
Press 0, 0, 0
Region selection will appear.
Select 0 for no region (ie. all regions)
Press pause button on remote control.
Turn Unit off and back on again.
It should now be region free.
Test your disk.

You can also copy the DVDs using any number of software that when you copy it you can specify make region free.

Currently there isnt any hacks aviable for this player.
You may only play dvd's the player was designed for or multi regional dvds. ..

i do have the hack for the PL-2000 which may work. you can have a go at it but if it fails you will need to wait until one for the 2100 is released.

1. "POWER ON"

2. Open DVD tray

3. Using the remote control, press and hold "RETURN" button and press "DISPLAY" button. The lower left of the TV screen will show a line of alpha & numeric letters and numbers.

4. Keep pressing "RETURN" button and tap "DISPLAY" button until the last digit on the right changes to "0".

5. Release "RETURN" button and press "ANGLE" button on the remote control.

DVD Player is now "CODE FREE!"

There is no region free hack for that player.

What region is it playing now and where from the unit was bought??
