Check the UV lights under the filters. If they loosen slightly the unit quits working. Simple fix, did this myself one time.

Welcome to FixYa!

The air purifier has safety features to ensure that the unit is ready for operation.

  • Check to make sure both HEPA-type filters are installed flush to the air purifier.
  • Check to make sure the rear cover is installed flush with the unit and is locked.

According to what I found, if the filter is not reinstalled just right, it won't trigger the filter being back inplace switch. Also, try unplugging the unit for 30 minutes and then plug it back in. That may reset the switch. If tall else fails, call Honeywell Customer Service at 877- 841-2840.

Hope this helps to solve the problem, JR.

Honeywell htt 011 air filter light won't go off

Thank you to MPODHOLA. After cleaning your Honeywell HHT-011, if the red light does not turn off locate the very small button under the red light. As suggested use a paperclip, hold the button for 5 seconds and this resets the system. Make sure the unit is on when you hold down the button. I tried it with the unit off and it did not work. Turned on the unit, held down the button for 5 seconds and the system reset. No more red light.

Replace air filter warning light to reset?

1. Plug unit into outlet. 2. Press power ON/OFF switch to the ON position. 3. Allow unit to start running at low speed. 4. PRESS and HOLD both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons until the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR starts to blink. 5. Release both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons. 6. While the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR is still flashing, again PRESS and HOLD both the UP and DOWN arrow buttons untile the FILTER REPLACEMENT INDICATOR turns off.

If the steps above have been performed properly, the Filter Replacement Indicator will turn offand not flash again for 11 months. If the Filter Replacement Indicator remains on, repeat the steps again.
*Note that in step 6 above, the Filter Replacement Indicator MUST still be flashing when the buttons are pressed the second time. The Filter Replacement Indicator will continue to flash for approximately 3 seconds after the buttons are released as required in step 5 above.

After cleaning and replacing filters, won't turn on

I have had the same problem. The way I fix mine (it only runs for a couple days staight) is to switch the two filters (or maybe you just need to remove completely?) making sure they are in tight. Replace the cover and it should work!
