This error may occur if data becomes corrupt on the camera hard disk drive. To resolve this issue, it will be necessary to format the hard disk drive and reset the camera to factory specifications.
You can select the Format option from the Manage HDD/Memory Menu.
Home Menu-->Manage HDD/Memory-->FORMAT. The Format screen appears, select YES button. Once you finish Formatting, press and hold the BACKLIGHT button for a few seconds which will give an option to EMPTY the Hard Disk.
Make sure that you've taken the backup of the files before formatting.
Connect the Camcorder to the Computer and copy the files from the Removable Drive to the Computer Hard Disk.
Performing the recommendations above should resolve the issue. If you have completed all of the recommendations and the issue is not resolved, service may be required.
