First try to lock and unlock the drivers side door with the Key instead of the automatic unlock button on the remote. does the remote controller that you have been use is the original remote of the tv?. if yes tried to replace the battery, if still doesn't work tried with camera trick just to ensure if the remote controller work or the IR sensor of the tv was not working. just let me know if you know how to test the remote controller. now if you are using the universal remote controller make sure it was programmed properly with in the tv unit.

If the remote works for sometime once the battery is put into , it means that the circuit is erratic as the frency seems to change from the set value. This can be a fault in the processor IC in the remote, a fault in the crystal or associated capacitors. Check also the IR driver transistor which can be leaking and so changes the output.

does the remote come on? if not then yes i suggest changing the batteries, some remotes have a slide that covers the buttons pull it down and take it off you should see the batteries when that is removed, or some are at the back, let me know if that helps

hello emar... check to be sure that the little wire antenna is hanging down from the back of the garage door opener motor. Then check it. If it still won't work from outside, install new batteries.

If that doesn't do it, remove the new batteries and use the eraser end of a common pencil to clean the battery contacts inside the remote. then reinstall the new batteries and try it again.

try changing the batterys. If its a universal remote reprogram it again.
