Question about Vivitar DVR 850W Flash Media Camcorder
On the right side of the camera there is a button that says Macro ON
switch it up and it should work. I hope i helped

The flash instructions begin on page 25 of the manual. Keep in mind that the flash is for still photos, not for videos.

I downloaded a codec pack. Apparently my computer lack the codec for *.avi.

I also have the same problem with my Vivitar DVR 850W camcorder. So, I did research on the subject. I found out, that the battery that is in the camera is the wrong type. The battery is a 3.7V 860 mAh, which is made for a cellphone and doesn't hold a long charge. I found out that the battery is SUPPOSED to be a 3.7v 1000mAh. Quite a difference.
