Need ethernet controller

Hi Ethernet controller is a hardware built in connected to your motherboard and NIC (network interface card ) is a device that you can use if the motherboard does not have a built in Ethernet controler. If the motherboard of your computer do not ahve a built ethernet controler you should go to your nearest store of computer parts where you can purchase it . Ethernet controller and NIC are devices that will provide your computer to have an access to connect from router,pc,modem etc. going to your computer using the Ethernet cable.

Not detect ethernet controller for dell optiplex 210L i looking for the driver

You want to try and see if there is a driver update for the ethernet controller. Go to: START> RIGHT CLICK "MY COMPUTER"> then PROPERTIES> DEVICE MANAGER> NETWORKING> ETHERNET PORT. You can roll-back the driver or you can try to update the ethernet driver using Windows Update Program. Make sure the driver is located in the device manager system and windows recognizes it. Your Ethernet Controller is a discontinued product. If you can't seem to get the ethernet controller to work and don't have the Floppy Disk Driver for it, then I suggest replacing it with a new stand alone ethernet controller that uses PCI or PCI-E ports. You can find some at Best Buy and Staples. They are easy to install and they don't use your motherboard memory and are not integrated on motherboard. I hope you find something that works and you can get back online again.

Lan terminal not working

first check for all the drivers in the device manager.... if every thing is perfect in driver side, then check if the ethernet/ lan is enabled....
then check is the light in the ethernet adapter is lit, when you plug any ethenet cable in it... still if it is not working, then finally try to update the latest driver for the ethernet controller.... if nothing works, then buy an pci ethernet card and use it..... you can also buy external cards like usb to ethernet converter... even belkin manufactures usb to ethernet controller....

How i istall ethernet driver from internet

Hi,
If you have no internet because the ethernet controller was not installed, you will need to download the ethernet drivers from another computer.
To do this, you will need either the motherboard model or the ethernet controller model. Search google for your motherboard model, and then on the drivers page, find "LAN drivers". Download the drivers, save them to a usb and transfer and install them to your pc.

''!!! WARNING: The switch is not usable !!!''

Unfortunately the show stack isn't showing any results other than it is either a hardware or software fault. I am guessing it is a fault with the hardware as the show version in your first post states "interface Ethernet-controller 4 failed POST POST error status : general error occured".

Ethernet-controller 4 is one if the gigabit ports (poss fibre port), so if you have anything attached to those, disconnect and reboot the switch and see what happens. If that doesn't work, you could try reinstalling the IOS, but at a guess I would say its a hardware fault.
