Hi, I'm on ps3, using a EzCap116, I have downloaded all the software (ArcSoft Shoowbiz, and the driver) recommended. Okay, the situation: I'm on AcrSoft, attempting to capture video direct from my PS3, using a scart (as i do not know how to do it otherwise, I'm fairly new to this), the laptop recognises that the USB device is connected, but no image can be found, and when i click on capture, a message pops up saying "No video signal detected" even though i have connected the USB device to the leads that came with it, and connected that to the PS3! What am I doing wrong?

If the imaging device is missing in the device manager, it is generally considered to be an hardware related issue. But, there are chances even in this situation the camera has worked after performing some troubleshooting steps:

Try opening the preinstalled ArcSoft WebCam Companion Software in the computer and check if there also you are getting the message, " Camera device not found".

If so then the issue may be resolved by reinstalling the Camera driver. In your case the computer uses inbox driver shipped with the OS. But, as it is Sony try reinstall the original ArcSoft WebCam Companion® Software from the esupport website.

If that also doesn't work, download and install the Camera driver:

While installing the above driver, the computer may prompt an error this update is not for your computer model.

In that case, extract the setup file of the above driver using the Universal Extractor and then run teh setup, this usually works!!!!.

what you need to do is make sure your connected with everything here is a website on how to set up your capture card easily. You will need 3 female splitters and 2 tri-colored rca sockets all male on both ends Red White and Yellow.

Hi, May iI know what is the exact error you're getting when you try to play the video you downloaded from YouTube using the arcsoft program. When you download a video from YouTube the extension of the file is video.flv... and if the Arcsoft software doesn't support video.flv extension. you can try to play the video you downloaded using a different player.. i could suggest vlc player.. you can download it free from filehippo dot com....then try to play the video using that. ok?. 1.uninstall the arcsoft webcam companion camera software from programs and feature
2.uninstall the camera driver from device manager
3.download and install the camera software from
