The onside diameter of thew case back is just a hair under 11/16. I used a 11/16 socket and placed it EVENLY on the back and placed the watch face down on a dense but soft dishtowel. the arrow lined up with the band. A tiny bit of silicone grease on the o ring added friction reducing and waterproofing. One mild tap on the socket using a lead shot filled plastic face mallet and it was a done deal with no damage.
Some case back fit really tight and can be a problem without the proper tools.
If the case back doesn't pop back on by pressing it with your finger you can tap it back on with a small wooden hammer, being careful not to break the crystal.
The other alternative is to use a case back press.
Place the tip of your pocket knife in the slot on the back of the watch. Pry the back off.
Take your tweezers and grasp the metal piece that is hiding the battery.
Once that metal piece is out the battery should come out too.
Put the new battery in and cover it with the metal piece.
Put the back of the watch back on and snap it into place.
