I have a Konica Minolta Maxuum 4, how do you turn off the date on the camera? I am in a film class and my teacher told me I need to figure out how to turn it off for class purposes.

Press the DATE button on the back of the camera to cycle through date, time, and none (just dashes). Press the shutter release button to set the format.

Film won't load on Minolta 400si Maxxum Camera

My daughter took the camera to her photography teacher he was able to load the film by wrapping more film around the roller. It's not as easy to load as my Canon. I thought we had put plenty of film around it already. Oh well, it's working anyway.

Minolta digital camera,s

Simple answer...Take your best working lens to a camera store, and ask to test a sony a100 digital camera. ALL Minolta Maxuum auto focus lenses work with the a100. This includes Konica/minolta type also. If you don't have an auto focus lens, it still might work-but you would loose some features, by swaping camera bodies. In the least it would cost you nothing to find out what camera they would work on, and save you enough money to partly pay for the new camera body you want anyway. Shoot a few stills with your lens on the different bodies-after all your not waisting film-until you find one that is good for you. The camera shop might even have an adapter ring for your lens to the camera body of your choice.

Minolta 7000 SLR

The Konica-Minolta 5d, and 7d, both discontinued but available used on ebay and other places will work with your AF lenses, as well as all the sony alpha camera bodies. KM sold their camera business to sony, and most of the whole maxuum/alpha/dynax group of engineers went with the sale to Sony. I had a 7000, and an 8000i, and all my lenses are quite happy on the 7D I picked up a few months ago on ebay.

Blank film

I had the same problem. I think I finally figured it out. My problem was that the Shutter was in lock mode. In the manual book there is a section called "Shutter Lock." How to get it unlocked: While pressing the drive mode button (1), turn the camer on with the function dial (2); the data panel displays the status of the shutter lock. If it says "lock", you will need to do this process again to get it unlocked.

To find out where the buttons are, you will need to look in your manual -- page 53.

Hope this corrects your problem.
