For windows 7 It will only work in XPmode. (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/install-and-use-windows-xp-mode-in-windows-7) Quicken expensable 98 is a 16 bit program- no worky in 64 bit operating system.

I have installed it. it opens, updates etc. On exiting, I get an error, cancel out of all that. However, when I reopen the file, all my changes are intact and it looks as if the software worked properly. I would like to avoid the errors but at least my 10 years of history is accessible and I can continue to use the product. C12 Will

It won't work under Windows 7 64-bit, it's non compatible but there is a very small possibility it could work under a 32-bit system .
If you have an install disc of a previous version of Windows , you can easily install a virtual OS on your HDD with WMWareplayer from : http://download.cnet.com/VMware-Player/3000-2094_4-10470784.html
Safe , easy to install and use , no specific knowledge required .
Best regards .

I am trying to download the software on my Windows 7 Computer but it states it is incompatible

Sounds like you are attempting to install the 64 bit version on a 32 bit PC. You will need a 32 bit install disk.

Cannot install drivers for Canon MF5550 on Windows 7 64 bit O.S.

Incompatible types and version of printer drivers when installed in Windows 7 can cause issues which might hinder the installation process thereby causing the installed drivers to become corrupt. The users of Windows 7 are therefore advised to verify the version and type of printer drivers before the installation and install only those drivers that are fully compatible with the Windows OS on the system to avoid these kinds of issues.

Print Shop 21 will not work on Windows 7 operating system is there a fix?

When a ‘clean’ install is done of Print Shop 22, exactly as described in this FAQ

'Clean' Install on Win98/Me/XP/2000/Vista/Win7

Print Shop 22 should install on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, with two incidents.

1. If .NET Framework 1.1 is not already installed on the computer, the "Program Compatibility Assistant” in Windows 7 will display this message
this program has know compatibility issues

To continue with the installation, select "Run Program". After .NET Framework 1.1 is installed, the necessary updates will be pulled from the Microsoft Windows Update Service.

2. After .NET Framework 1.1 is installed, the "Program Compatibility Assistant” in Windows 7 will display a message which says that there are compatibility issues with Print Shop 22 on Windows 7 64-bit. To continue with the installation of .NET Framework 1.1, select "Run Program".

NOTE: Even though the Print Shop 22 Vista patch, which can be found here

Download Vista Patch For The Print Shop 22 and PrintMaster 17 Disk Versions

can be installed on a 64-bit version of Windows 7, the patch will not fix the problem with the Amyuni Document Converter, as it does on a 32-bit version of Windows 7 (see above). So, it will not be possible to use the 'Save As PDF' option with Print Shop 22 on a 64-bit version of Windows 7. Instead, it will be necessary to install an alternate PDF driver, then Print to PDF, as is described in this FAQ

Save as PDF vs File | Print to PDF

So far, the only other known incompatibility with Print Shop 22 on a 64-bit version of Windows 7 is that Print Shop 22 cannot be run from a shortcut on the Dell Dock that is provided with many Dell computers. A Print Shop 22 shortcut can be placed on the Dell Dock; but, attempts to start Print Shop 22 from that Dell Dock shortcut will cause several incompatibility messages to be displayed

Can i convert a 32 bit to a 64 bit

You can use the Upgrade option during Windows 7 installation, which preserves your files, settings, and programs, only if you're currently running a 32-bit version of Windows Vista and you want to upgrade to the 32-bit version of Windows 7. Similarly, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, you can only perform an upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows 7. For more information, go to Upgrading to Windows 7: frequently asked questions on the Windows website.
If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or vice versa, you'll need to back up your files and choose the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. Then, you'll need to restore your files and reinstall your programs. For more information about performing a custom installation, see Installing and reinstalling Windows 7‍.
gl_ico.png Notes
  • To install a 64-bit version of Windows 7 on a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows, you'll need to start, or boot, your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files.
  • If you start your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files, but your computer isn't capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll see a Windows Boot Manager error. You'll need to use a 32-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files instead.
  • Windows Easy Transfer can't transfer files from a 64-bit version of Windows to a 32-bit version of Windows. If you're running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista but you plan to install a 32-bit version of Windows 7, you can move your files to an external location manually or use Backup and Restore in Windows Vista. For more information, go to Back up your files and

TRYING TO INSTALL WORDPERFECT OFFICE 12 FOR FHOME USE ONLY ON MY LAPTOP. HAVE WINDOWS 7 INSTALLED. WILL NOT COMPLETE INSTALLATION. SAYS ERROR AND CLOSES OUT.

WordPerfect 12 is almost certainly incompatible with Windows 7 -- and is the reason you are getting the error message. The current version of WordPerfect is X4 -- at least 3 upgrade versions from version 12.

The drivers in version 12 were for Windows 98 / 2000. It would have worked OK with XP and maybe even Vista - but Win-7 is a new OS altogether. Sorry, but it sounds like you may need to do an upgrade.
