Your computer in my experience is in short circuit protection mode.

Leave it off as further use can cause extensive damage. Get your laptop computer to a computer technician as faulty components need to be diagnosed and replaced.

Claim warranty support if you can!

The computer when its going to star the lights and fan start working and then the computer shut dawn with not power at all, when I disconet the power suply and let th battery the computer does the same...

Hello,

I would suggest that you try this test...Take out battery and leave out...plug in your power supply to your computer...and turn on...

If you are experiencing the same problem, than your power adapter is defected! They go bad out of the blue. If it works, than your battery is bad! If it doesn't, than your Power Adapter is Defected!

You can purchase a Universal Power Adapter relatively cheap. Or see if you have a compatibale one around the house to see if it will reboot your computer..again, with battery out!

When a Power Source is Defected, your battery will drain. Once you have a Good Power Adapter, you can recharge your battery. But,...don't install your battery back untill you replace power adapter and you know it works!. You computer will not turn on with a defected power adapter!

You can actually, save a fully charged battery by leaving it completely out, until you need it at a later date....Have you ever noticed at the stores...you see all the computers running...well, they take out the batteries, because they drain fast and are more costly to replace than an adapter!

I just went through this problem, but luckily I had a warranty to replace my adapter.

Good Luck to you and have a good day!

Kinf Regards!

Try replacing/removing battery in the laptop see if will turn on then. Also maybe your power board needs replace. then i would try a new motherboard.

Acer Notebook won't start up. At first we thought the powercord was damaged because the green light on it would blink. We got a new cord but the light just turns off and the computer won't start.

There could be a problem with the battery. A fast check to determine whether you have a problem with the power adapter, power cord or the laptop's battery is to turn off the laptop, remove the battery, connect the power adapter, turn on the laptop & see if it works.
If the laptop works directly from the power adapter with the battery removed, then the power adapter is good. In this case we can suspect that the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.

If this did not work, try also disassembling the laptop & make sure that all main components are seated properly. Also make sure that all ribbon cables interconnecting the various components of the laptop are tightly connected.

I have a dell Insiron 1526. we thought it was the power port and changed it. they charger shows a green light when plugged in and when you add the computer it starts blinking but the computer will not turn...

try to use a different power adapter or try your ac on a different system so you can determine if the issue is with the ac adapter or on the system. if the power adapter works on a different system, try to remove any external device as well as the ac adapter and the battery. while the ac adapter and battery is out, press and hold the power button for about 15seconds. then reconnect any power source and turn on the system. if it still doesnt turn on, remove memory, expansion cards, hard drive and optical drive then turn on the system. if it's still not turning on, the motherboard is faulty. but if it do turned on, reconnect the removed components one by one so you will determine which component is causing the issue. hope it'll help. good day. =)

My c500 presario won't charge and i think it's the charger. But when my battery went dead other times and i try to turn it on the lightning bolt indicator would always blink for a few secs. But now it just...

You probaly have a broken DC JACK on the motherboard. Therefore, regardless if you have a good power adapter. The power is not making a connetion to the battery because the DC JACK throught which the power flows is broken.

Try another adapter and remove the battery. If the computer is powered up using the new adapter then the old adapter is bad and the DC JACK is good. Replace the battery and if the batter charges, you can identify the old power adapter as the culprit. If the batter does not charge but the laptop powered on. Then both the battery and the charger is faulty-battery not holding charge.

Good luck

Dell latitude d505 will not power on

the dim on and off indicates
the ac power jack or adapter may be bad
its charging battery then not
take out the battery
check the pin in the laptop to see if it moves
or the end of the adapter could be bad
even if the green light is on
try not to wiggle to get to work, or you can break connection

D600 Power problem, Won't boot up

Hi,

I agree. Try to turn on your computer using the ac adapter only. If the system won't hold power using the ac adapter. I suggest to call you computer manufacturer to check the warranty . I am seeing a problem with the motherboard.

Keep me posted.

Thanks.

Computer doesn't start.

I would try this:

You also might want to go into your local Staples to find a 3rd party power adapter to see if your power adapter is bad (Staples has no return policy, thus you can try it out and return if needed).

Computer won't power up

The first thing you must must check if the AC Adapter is working, because, even if the battery is bad the AC Adapter must allow the notebook to turn on. Check if there is any light turned on on the AC Adapter. Now, there can be several other reasons why the notebook is not powering up - - A bad hard drive. You can remove the hard drive and then try turning on the notebook - Bad RAM. Again the RAM can be removed and check if the notebook powers up We can have several other reasons why the notebook is not turning on. Those are just some general issues and common resolutions Please revert back with further observations.
