It seems that your unit may have overheated while you were playing that game, that yellow like you are talking about is the 360's Red Ring of Death. Try this, eject the HDD and let it cool off for about 24 hours. Don't put it in the refrigerator or anything, just let it cool off. Tomorrow, pop it back in and make sure there's nothing covering the air vents. Dust, Paper, a Blu-Ray Player, Home Theater Box, a Wii, a 360, anything.
If it's still doing it tomorrow, call SCEA (1-800-345-7669)
3 red lights happens because the GPU and the CPU overheat and shut down to prevent damage, you will need to send it in to get it fixed, or you can fix it yourself using a good video guide
The yellow light is also know as the yellow light of death casued by a hardware failure. It can be casued ny over heating a bluray drive failure, a hard drive failure or even a powersupply failure. You know you have it when you power up the yellow light flashes then you hear some beeps then the red llight flashes. I would suggest returning it if you have that option or getting it fixed somewhere else as a last option.

This behavior occurs when the internal temperature of the console
exceeds the acceptable limits. You may think of this as too hot,
overheating, and so on. Make sure the fans are operating and the system
has adequate ventilation.
Since you've been inside it's possible that a heatsink or some other part of the cooling system is not working properly or is loose. Check all these!
