I have a centrex air con.. and i dont know what to do the air is not cool.. and there no button in the remote that i could use and fix it..

Lift the front cover of the air con, on the right hand side there is a button or a hole which has a button inside which you can press which is for manual starting of the air con. If this works, then you will know the remote is faulty, if it still doesn't work, check that the isolator switch for the air con hasn't been turned off. There will be 9Or should be) a switch outside next to the air con outdoor unit to switch power on / off to the air con. If not, there should be switch inside the meter box at the front of the house. Make sure they are switched on.

Whether or not any of these work with your unit is not something I can say with certainty. The first on the list does list your brand of air conditioner and is the least expensive of the lot. The last on the list is from a well know distributor. And the middle one offers a web video about programming the universal remote.

These universal remote search for codes much as universal remotes for TVs do.

I HAVE A CENTREX AIR CON UNIT AS WELL.. I HAVE NOT TURNED IT ON SINCE LAST SUMMER.. THE REMOTE IS WORKING BUT I'M NOT ABLE TO TURN THE UNIT ON.. I ASSUME IF IT'S ON A SMALL LIGHT SHOULD COME ON.
WHERE IS THE POWER SWITCH AND IS THERE A MANUAL WAY TO TURN IT ON FROM THE UNIT?

Have you checked the battery's in your remote?

Thanks for your response, but we finally found a universal remote through Andca Airconditioning in Rosebud, Victoria. It cost us $90 and worked a treat.

I have a centrex split system which the inside unit is working but the outside one the motor is not working does anyone know why and where can i get parts from sice centrex no longer exists..
