Check your door/'s are sealing if they leak u will get freezing occurring in the bottom and around the door will have allot of condensation.
good luck all the best . P's always lay liquid bottle on their side as they will cool quicker and be better on electricity.
The heat at the opening of refrigerator is usually a sign the condenser coils are dirty. Check the condenser coils for a restriction underneath the unit. Dirty condenser coils will cause poor air flow over the coils and compressor. Poor air flow will cause a lot of problems, including overheating the compressor, the refrigerant and the copper lines. This will destroy your sealed system. The coils need cleaning at least once a year, more often if you have pets. I couldn’t determine if your unit has an “energy saver” setting. If so, turn it on. Not all refrigerators have energy saver. This is on units with emilion heaters in the wall around the door gaskets. The heaters are to eliminate condensation around the door. Turning ON energy saver turns OFF those heaters. You should notice a change quickly if it’s the heater causing the heat, that is, if you have that model. Cleaning the coils will need a day or two to allow things to cool down before you notice a change in the heat around the door.
sounds most likely didn't get a good fill in the foaming machine the fills the door cavities wiht insulation. I've been in a refigerator plant and seen it happen. They are supposed to be checked. Tap various places around the outside of the door to see if there is a hollow sound. It could just be around the outside edges of the door unless the whole door is cold.
Without the model number I'm not sure how to answer your question. Does your model have fans that blow warm air on the outside bottom or a front kick plate? What is your model number? Kenmore has model numbers like this example=> 123.3214567 If the fan has a restriction that causes a lack of airflow it can cause the hot Freon liquid that normally flows around the Yoder Loop inside edges of the freezer door to prevent frost buildup to become very hot because the condenser fan is defective or coils are dirty with dust restricting airflow. If the outside is hot you may have a defective condenser fan motor. That will cause the freezer to ger hot. I am here should you want my assistance....Sea Breeze Kenmore Freezer Parts
It is likely the condenser fan is not functioning, or the condenser is dirty. You may need to open
the compressor access panel to check. If you can hear the compressor
running, and the condenser feels warm, the fan should be running. If it
isn't, it probably needs to be replaced. Another symptom is the area around the doors feels warm.
Try turning the temperature control to off, unplug the electrical power cord from the power outlet, defrost the appliance, clean the condenser, plug the power cord into an electrical outlet, set the temperature control to a low setting, lay a thermometer in the freezer for a few hours and see what happens to the temperature in the machine. Check the integrity of the seal of the door gasket by seeing how the door seal will hold a slip of paper in various locations along the freezer door gasket. A loose hold on the slip of paper shows an area where hot moist air can get into the freezer and cause ice build up.
A side door heater is already defective. It has heating element, it is there to dry any moisture build up around freezer door. When it become defective, moisture or condensation occur, hence moisture is there. Causing it to rust build or develope on the metal of the freezer. Rust weaken the metal and soon tearing it. Have it check by a service technician before it getting worse. Good luck.
You should check for air leaks around the door gasket or any other openings in the compartment such as where pipes or wiring is going through the wall. It sounds like a moisture problem from moisture being drawn into the compartment pass door gaskets or access holes.
