i am mr john uche aaron
in Nigeria ,
my hp pavilion dv 9000
cannot bootup
but display only light on the quick bar
and blank screen
what is the solution
I've ran into that defect repairing these laptops and its a crappy motherboard issue, my wife daughter bought her pavilion dv 9000 over and i put my wireless card that was working in hers and it wouldn't even see that one.
The motherboards are junk and all HP is doing is replacing it with updated ones that doesn't have that problem with the faulty wireless card slot.
Hard drives are cheap. Find out what type of drive this supports (i.e. ATA or SATA), and buy a new drive. They're quite easy to replace, too. You'll just need a recovery CD to re-install your OS (operating system) after you put in your new drive.
