Help Sharp MX-2300N Copier - Error code H5-01 I know the reset code but do not know how to reset the copier.

Sorry bubbabear 64, you are wrong you need to reset the copier with sim 14, once you have cleared the jam, there is no sensor in the fuser so often if the paper gets crumpled in there is doesnt trigger and sensors so the customer trys to copy again and again, seen it many times.

h5-01 means 5 consecutive jams in the fuser area. Sometimes this is caused by a defective sensor but most often by a worn or damaged fuser or not clearing jams correctly the first time.

Fix jamming problem and clear by entering SIM (P * C * ) 14 ->1

H5-01 indicates tha the paper sensor is defective in the fusing unit. The only way you can try to reset that one is buy turning the power off, wait 30 seconds and turn the power back on.

If the error code returns the fusing unit will have to be fixed to take care of the paper sensor.

The U2 errors are usually related to memory or board level issues. You should try to disconnect the fax and network and then kill the main power inside the cover. Turn the main power on and then when you get a solid green light on the control panel press that power switch. If the machine boots with everything disconected then try conecting the options one at a time and try rebooting each time to see if you can narrow down the problem.
