you should power off the television and power it on to see if the menu is still there or not , and it does not work.
check the remote carefully if menu is on it, then press menu to exist the menu . GOOD LUCK..........

I had rca remote that did not recieve ir signals but rf signals instead. Check online with rca or in owners manual for what type of signal factory remote sends. The dvd player I had was 5 dvd and that was the case. Dish might have an option like direct tv where you can program rf signals as well. Call dish network support or look online

Use the number buttons to enter the codes for your RCA TV here are some of the codes we currently have: 503, 627, 633, 725, and 505. Press the pound (#) button. To check that the code works try several different functions on the remote to make sure it will properly operate the TV. Remember that some codes may not be compatible with your equipment. If this is the case, try the other codes listed for your RCA TV until you find one that is compatible with it.

using your Dish Network box connect the audio and video outputs to the tv via the RCA inputs1, 2, 3, or component inputs on the tv and then select the coresponding video input to view your cable. Or you can connect your Sattelite to the antenna A or B input jack on the back of the set and set the tv input to antenna

The RCA guide will not work with the dish remote. You can get the guide to close if you press the White TV button then press cancel. Remember to press the SAT button after you close the guide.

The solder could be loose in the CRT board witch is at the end of the picture tube neck,before you take the back cover out try a simple test put your forearm in the face of the picture tube and the hair should stand with the tv on that will mean you do have high voltage going to the picture tube but if the hair in your forearm does not stand with static it means the picture tube is missing high voltage and then reason for that is not necessarely a loose conection but a bad component in the main board.If you not familiar with tv service be safe and call for assistance.
